Rider Updates

Went to the BadBoys of Arenacross this weekend and had an alright time. Friday went ok, but I didn't ride as well as I should have but made the best of a crappy layout. Of course it is only set up for big bikes bud I tried to make the best of it. I hated it! I finished 3rd overall and I heard about it from my dad. I deserved it because I really didn't try that hard. Saturday wasn't good. My clutch started to act up and found out the the pressure plate was bad so we had to call it a weekend. So we went home and watched supercross. See you at the track!

Well we finally got some great riding in at the famous Sandbox indoor facility this week. We left early tuesday morning and arrived just in time for a full days worth of fun in the sand. The track wasn't what we expected. It was very tight and had no rythm, so I had to chang gearing and off I went. We were so tired that I only got in six sessions and so we left for the hotel to sit in the hot tub. On Thursday, it was great! We haven't seen so many riders in an indoor facility since Motoplex. It was packed. I finally had the track dialed in and had a great day. I looks like we will be hitting NEMX for our next practice trip and of course, the BadBoys of arenacross on the 14th and 15th at Sears Center. See you there!

On Saturday, we drove to Anna Ohio to ride OMA. We finally got the bike back together so we needed to make sure everything was running right. This track was similiar to ProSource back in the day. I was not pleased to say the least. It was, jump, corner, jump, corner, I couldn't even open the bike up and my dad had to change the gearing which we haven't had to do that in over a year. Complete disappointment. And, it was very cold! Looks like we will never make that trip again. It looks like we will be racing the BAd Boys race on Jan 14th and after that, we will be making a trip to the SandBox. See you at the track!

We drove to RamJam in Ohio on Saturday and could not believe the track. Who built such a mickey mouse excuse for a place to ride? My dad was not happy but I practiced corners for exactly a half hour and then we left. We will not go there again so we are planning to ride at the SandBox in a couple of weeks. My bike is torn completely down for maintenance so I can't ride until bike is back together. Oh well, it looks like we will be riding at NEMX and OMA in Ohio and the Sandbox this winter and of course some indoor racing with Toyota and Badboys. It looks like there might be a good indoor riding season next year. See you at the track!

I cannot believe that the year is over. We decided to race LogRoads final series race and it went awesome. I ended up with a 2-2 for a 2nd overall. I was trying for both holeshots because my parents pay me $25.00 for each holeshot that I get, so I was going to pull the holeshot. The first moto wasn't so good as I ended up in fourth out of the gate into turn one, but I quickly settled into second and held that position the whole race. Moto two went more my way and I pulled tha holeshot and led for about 3/4 of a lap. I ended up 2nd in that moto for a 2nd overall. It went great and I was excited for Sunday because RedBud had their last open ride. It looked like rain for the whole day but by noon, the clouds recede and the sun came out. Unfortunately, the wind was bad! The first moto didn't go to well, because I got caught everywhere. I hit laraccos double and was blown off the track and even on the track the wind was blowing me. The last moto wasn't good either, this time the wind blew me so hard off the double that I crashed hard! I got the wind knocked out of me but I remounted and finished the practice. It was still a good practice day and I feel real good with my progression during the season. Now we are going to work on indoors and maybe take some road trips to some indoor facilities. See you soon!

Went out saturday and tried to ride the first moto and the clutch started slipping, then I went down. My dad put a new clutch and new brake pads because those started to go as well and I went out for moto two. The track was bad! so I kind of took it easy and was trying not to get caught in the wind. They were carting off riders left and right so my dad said to take it easy and not push it. Anyway, we had a good day and am looking foward for the last race at Log Road next week. See you there!

Didn't do much on Saturday but play video games and ride my bike. On sunday, we went to Gieger MX and rode for about three hours pretty hard. I only took a fifteen minute break so I was pretty spent by 2:30 so we packed up and went home. Dad said I rode flawless and was pleased. It looks like RedBud practice this Saturday and then open ride at logRoad on Sunday. See you there!

We decided at the last minute to race Dutch Park in Michigan and I am not a great fan of the track. Practice went ok because I haven't ridden the track in a few years but I made the best of it but my dad wasn't pleased to say the least. Anyway, I went out on my first moto and pulled the holeshot and took first place. There wasn't a good turnout but the riders were older than me so moto one went good. By the second moto, I had everything dialed in and took the holeshot again and finished first for a 1-1 on the day. I ended up earning $100.00 from my parents and an additional $25.00 from dutch in the form of a dealer check. So, the day went great and my mom and dad said that I rode awesome! Looks like practice all week and I do not know what we are doing this weekend. Maybe Sunset. Anyway, see you soon!

Didn't do much this weekend. Went to our private track on Saturday and move somecorners and rode there all day. On Sunday, we rode another private outdoor track and I got all of ten laps in and all of the sudden, I lost brakes. It appears that I blew out the pistons in the caliper so I couldn't ride the rest of the day. Oh well, I will be riding all week and I do not know what we are doing this weekend yet but I am sure I will be riding somewhere. See you soon!

Well, I cannot believe that another season is over at RedBud. All in all, we had a great summer and Saturday was no exception. The weather was great until the second moto when it started to rain. The first moto went great got the holeshot and proceeded to stay in 4th the rest of the moto. I had a little battle with a rider but it was ok. The second moto came around and my dad said do whatever it takes to keep it on two wheels so I did not push it. I got the holeshot again and ended up in the same place. Anyway, I had an audience today with my first and second grade teacher showing up to watch. Mrs Harbaert was great and I have yet to have a teacher as special as her. Anyway, I will be riding supercross tomorrow to get ready for indoors and ride a private track all week. See you soon!

We were planning on racing at Walnut in Saturday but didn't trust the weather so we stayed home and watched it rain all day. Sunday came around and decided to practice all day at a private track and it went great! Rode for about 5 hours and the bike was running awesome! Worked on corner speed most of the day and by 4:30, I was tired. So, I will be working on indoors this week and racing RedBud for the fall classic this weekend. See you there.
Sep 6 2010
Well, we made the long trip on Saturday to Walnut and we just had the bike opened up for the first time to put a top end and new bearrings and seals, unfortunately, the center gasket was reused because we couldn't get one in time. We will never do this again! I noticed that the bike wasn't running well and after the first moto, we noticed the center leaking radiator fluid. My dad tried to seal it but after the first lap in the second practice, I had to pull off because the bike wasn't running good and it was leaking bad. So we packed up and left. Oh well, we will be back to race on Saturday. See you there!
Aug 30 2010
We woke up bright and early on Saturday and made the three and a half hour trip to Walnut Illinois and the day was looking great! The first moto was going good, just trying to get used to the track and then wham! the breaks locked up. My dad already knew what the problem was and immediately made an adjustment. Off I went and was getting into the groove. The rest of the day was awesome and by the last two motos, I finally airing out the finish line. It was fun and I had to get the bike planted into the corner before the jump as fast as I could, to clear it. So, the day went awesome and we ended up with about five motos. I started school this week and already caught a cold. I wasn't feeling the greatest but I made the best of it. Anyway, will probably race this weekend at log road so see you there! Check out the photos!

After a week of leisure, we attended RedBuds benefit ride on Sunday and sure enough, back brake issues. The first moto was going good until a corner in the valley brought me down. It wasn't my fault, I had no rear brakes, so I remounted and tried to ride without, sure enough, I went down again. I came off to tell my dad and he said try pumping them, I went back out, and once again, I went down. So I came off on the last lap. The second moto was going alright, I didn't have the confidence in the bike so the first two laps were slow but just as soon as I opened it up, I went down after the monza wall over the bars, no brakes! My dad tore everything apart during motos and replaced pads and bled the lines. They seemed to work so I went back out on the third moto and they were working but not that good, so I didn't have that great of a moto because the brakes were not working completely. My dad made some adjustments and the 4th moto went awesome. I regained some confidence and by the 3rd lap, I was finally laying it down. The brakes were working great and we ended the day on top. We will be riding Susnset this weekend so se you there!

Well, the weekend started great with a good first practice, then the rain started and the track got real slick. I went down three times and then the rear breaks locked up, DNF #1. The second moto was going good then my bike's rear break locked up again DNF #2. We went home and my dad bleed and replaced a new spring in the resevoir and on Sunday, it was working great! My first practice was awesome! I chased down an old nemisis who was over ten seconds ahead and my parents said that I was flyin. The first moto was good, I was third going into turn one and was running fourth and making time on third. Then, the bike stalls. DNF# three. My dad ran down and he knew What was wrong the spark arrestor came off so he put it back on and I got two more laps in and it stalled again. In moto two I was second going into turn one and was on the gas. No problems and I finally finished fourth. Yeah! Overall, we had a good weekend. See you soon!
Aug 3 2010
Well, we finished off the week with some new setup and it worked out great. We rode a couple of times during the week and endend up practicing at LogRoad on Saturday. Nothing special and I got a good 5 motos in. Nothing going on for the next week so we will continue to practice and have fun. See you soon!
Jul 26 2010
Didn't do much this weekend because of the rain, but we did manage to head over to DirtMx on Sunday and it was a mess! I rode all day and swithched back and forth from the coner track to the pro track and by the end of the day, I was spent! It went great and will be heading to LogRoad on Saturday. See you there!
Jul 19 2010
Had a good practice week and headed into the weekend pretty positive. I had been working on starts most of the week and Saturday was going to be the day to test them out. I got off the gate well both motos and finished 4th overall. Sunday was a crappy day. I had an awesome practice after a setup change and was looking great. But, by the first moto, I realized that I didn't have a rear brakes so we had to go back to the pits and try to bleed the line, well you know how long that takes so needless to say, I didn't start my motos and the day was a wash. Oh well, my dad said that those 4 laps were pretty expensive, he said at least we got to test the new setup. Anyway, we are going to a new track next weekend. Ride safe!
Jul 12 2010
We took a few days off after last weekend and rode supercross on Friday and spent the day at Logroad on Sunday. My dad bought a new ProCircuit exhaust for my bike and wow!,it is incredible. The bike now has a powerband that stretches across the whole spectrum. I have power everywhere. Before, the bike would lack mid-range, but now, I don't have that problem, I love it. It looks as if we will be racing LogRoad next weekend so see you there!
Jul 5 2010
Well another Redbud weekend has come and gone. We started out with a Thursday practice and everything went great! We got 4 motos in and by the end of the day, I was feeling great! Friday was a good race day in that I was riding well and staying with the top ten riders. I made several mistakes and I could have easily finished three or four more spots ahead. Saturdays pro race was awesome and it is alway's cool to see how fast the pros are going. Sunday was the last day and things started off bad in practice. I hit Laroccos double as usual but this time my bike got off too vertical and I landed hanging off the bike but I got back up and went for it again and got it straightend out. My first moto was the problem. I started hitting the launchpad on thursday which is a big jump! I didn't have any difficulties prior but this time it went bad. My rear got sideways off of the face and I landed with my rear to the side, needless to say, I was highsided off and cartwheeled all the way down. I was knocked unconcious for over 2 minutes and was carted off the track. I do not remember anything. Someone took video of the crash and it doesn't look good. anyway, I am fine and ready to ride next week. See you at LogRoad.
Jun 29 2010
With the way the weather has been, we couldn't decide what to do this weekend, so we stayed home and did nothing. Actually, my mom and dad felt that relaxing would boost my desire to ride next week at Redbud and they were right. Thursday I will practice all day and race Friday, watch the pros on Saturday and then race again on Sunday. The forecast looks great so I will definitely be ready. See you there!

LogRoad was the destination for fun in the sun. Saturday was hot, but we tried to stay hydrated and practice went great. I set some good laps which paved the way for some great battling during the races. My first moto went good and i would have had a podium but someone intentionally ran me off the track but it will never happen again. I am starting to feel that my mom and dad was right for me to race the older class from now on in that I am battling older riders which is making me faster. The second moto was alright but about the second lap, I started to feel sick and fell a little behind, but we adjusted for Sunday by drinking alot of fluids. Sunday wasn't as hot but I could feel that heat was kicking in so I stayed under the canopy mos of the day. Moto one was good and I finished straight up in fifth. There were a couple of really fast national riders but I held my own for a good finish. So, overall the weekend went great. I will be practicing for Redbud over the next couple of weeks so see you there.

Got up at 5:00am on Saturday to drive to Sunset Ridge and got withing 30 miles and they canceled practiced. What a waist of a day, should have gone to Big Air. Oh well, we will be practicing FMX Paradise on Wednesday and racing Log Road this weekend. See you there!
Jun 7 2010
Well, the day started off great with the best practice that I have had all year. The track was in awesome shape and my speed was insane! I was even battleing an older rider so, everything went well. Then the rain came. Luckily, I was able to get the first moto out of the way. I came into turn 1 with the faster older rider in the 7-11 class and battled him the whole moto. I ended up winning the 7-9 and even finished in front of the 7-11 leader. My mom and dad said that it was the fastest that they have ever seen me ride. Nevertheless, they canceled the rest of the day so I took the overall. Looks like we will be riding SunsetRidge on Saturday. See you there!
