Rider Updates

Feb 3 2018

Kobe whom will be racing a kx65, his sister, rides a ktm mini and I (the father )will be riding and training on a rm125. We all, have been working out with weights and cardio since December 2017. Kobe is tall and heavy for his age so in order to create more enjoyable racing environment we all will need to lose as much fat as possible and build up our strength, endurance and coordination. It is my hopes that all of our bikes will be ready to ride and we can start training in our back yard right away in Spring. Kobe will be entering in the large 65cc class which in my opinion will be challenging and exciting to see his progress throughout the year.

Thank You,

Miller Family

Kobe practiced 5 sessions at 15 minutes motos on 9-16-2017. Kobe carried over his speed on Race day 9-17-2017. At the gates Kobe's bike has been acting up. as soon as the gate drops there is a slight hesitation on the initial takeoff. Afterwards the bike seemed to run flawless until he takes a corner and lets off the throttle too far. I was afraid if i messed with the bike it would not start for me like the last District 16 Race we attended. So, i didn't touch it and just let it hesitate. Kobe's speed looked amazing for a stock motor and suspension. There was one other kid that was comparable to Kobe's speed and which ever one got out front first stayed out front. In Moto 1 Kobe got out front first and stayed there. Kobe could pull away from this kid but when Kobe entered the rolling whoops Kobe went extremely slow due to the fact that it was his crash site that he got injured and still worries too much about it. This kid would catch right back up to Kobe but not able to pass him. Kobe finished in 4th place. Moto 2 Kobe was probably 2nd or 3rd in the hole shot but made a bobble after the 1st turn. Kobe ended up in last place and about 5 seconds behind the next guy. Kobe quickly took charge and started making passes in his 1st 2 laps. the caught right up to the kid Kobe battles with and just could not make the pass. Kobe finished in 5th for a 5th overall. Kobe rode his CX 50 SR in the 0-65 cc class and pulled off a 10th and an 8th for a 9th overall. It was a great weekend and we had a ton of fun. We want to thank ALL of our sponsors and we couldn't do this without you. we appreciate everything.

Kobe has been cleared of both his concussion and his liver laceration. Kobe will race again in Chilton, WI in the next few weeks. Kobe bike needs a little more work to get ready, should be done by the weekend. I am looking forward to the Moto weekends, kinda missing it.

Jun 28 2017

Yesterday at the Neurologist appointment Kobe showed signs of an improving concussion. Kobes balance is way off and has some short term recall memory loss. The doc gave us a few things to allow him to work on to improve his healing of the brain. Doc also said Kobe should wait to ride until August and see where he is at again. So far the Doc said they were impressed with his current healing.

As far as Kobe Liver laceration goes everything seems to be good but is recommended to be on very light duty to bed rest for at least 3 more weeks.

There are Plenty of races to be raced during and after August so we are hoping for the best and potentially get in at least 10 races for the season.

Jun 3 2017

Kobe, was racing in Tigerton, WI today. Kobe took 3rd by a long shot in moto 1. 1st and 2nd were hauling. Kobe stayed on his bike and made a few small mistakes but still pulled away from the pack. Moto 2 Kobe had a few laps in and then i noticed Kobe's front tire wasn't spinning as well as it should off the jumps. Kobe went down once from a landing then came around by me and looks a lot slower. Kobe rounds a fast corner and goes over a tall rolling whoop section and goes down as soon as his front tire hits. i started to jog over there from a distance but i was too slow as i noticed Kobe wasn't getting up. The flaggers didn't see Kobe crash at the bottom of the whoop so i started running faster. Before i arrived at the scene 2 rider had ran Kobe over. Kobe was out cold and snoring on the track in a fetul position. called for the medics and Kobe had already awoke from his dirt nap. Kobe's said his stomach hurt and his neck from getting ran over. Got a ride back to our vehicle but Kobe was out of it and tired. after about a half hour Kobe began to behave normally. On our way home we decided to take Kobe to the E.R. for a visit just to make sure everything was good. Mom was worried about his stomach and i was worried about his head. Turns out we were both right. Kobe received a liver laceration and the E.R. doc said his C.T. scans came back normal.

For the Month of May, 2017

Kobe has had a great start to his final year as a Cobra 50 SR motocross racer. Kobe has entered 4 races in May, 2017 with results, in order, 6th, 3rd, 3rd, 4th. Kobes 6th place was at Pine Ride Raceway as it was Kobes first race of his season. The two 3rd's are from Gravity Park USA when he entered two classes, the 50SR Points Class and the 50 Open Class. Finally, Kobe earned a 4th at Pine Ridge Raceway again. Kobe is fast  this season and for the first time Kobe is realizing hard work is not easy. we are still pushing for Kobes first 1st place award. I love watching Kobe push as hard as he is comfortable pushing and we cant wait until Kobe is battling hard and pushing everyone to be better, like they already are with him. we want to thank all of our sponsors.

we can not enjoy this sport without the help of ALL of our sponsors, we appreciate you all.

May 13 2017

Kobe had great evening races at Gravity Park USA in Chilton, WI. The track is red clay and hard packed. Kobe usually does well on hard packed surfaces and he proved it as Kobe raced his heart out and earned 3rd place trophies in both 50 SR and 50 Open classes. Kobe was keeping pace with 2 of some of the fastest racers in the District 16 while exciting the crowd as he participated in a 3 way battle for the lead. Kobe held of and finished 2nd place in moto 1 of the 50 Open but Kobe could not keep the same pace in moto 2 and comfortably took a 3rd for 3rd overall. Kobe finally had a taste of what it is like to be a leader in a District level race.

Thank You to all of our sponsors as we can not pursue Kobe's dreams of Motocross.

May 7 2017

Kobe had a great day. Today was the first time Kobe pushed himself hard and was able to battle for 5th place out of 15 racers. Kobe went 6-6 for 6th overall. both motos were a battle for 5th place. both motos Kobe fell in a corner and couldn't catch back up but he gave it everything he could today. we are very proud of Kobe.

Apr 22 2017

Practice Day at Tigerton, WI Track. Kobe, Me and Uncle Curtis all were both excited to ride a motocross track for the first time this season. Kobe was a lot faster around the track this year. i timed him at 2:45 average lap some faster/ some slower (inconsistent). Kobe did tell me that he was nervous before we arrived. i did my best to pep talk kobe into forgetting about everything and just have fun, otherwise why go? last year some of the fastest kids were riding around 2:10 average lap. Last year Kobe struggled at  his corners last year as well as soft dirt/sand. There was not a lot of people at the trackso Kobe had plenty of opportunities to ride at half hour intervals to get used to the feel of things again. winter is a long off-season but Kobe has already improved greatly. Unfortunately, Kobes 2013 Cobra CX50SR was leaking coolant more and more as the day progressed. Eventually i asked Kobe to stop riding as i was not sure how much coolant was lost after each interval. looking forward to see how fast Kobe can improve this season as it seems that Kobe has a much higher motivation to be much better and more competitive.

Apr 13 2017

Kobe received his 3rd quarter report card. Kobe earned 8 A's, 3 B's and 1 C (in math). kobe forgot to hand in a few assignments he had aquired during several days off of school from being sick. it hurt his grade and was almost failing the class. Kobe worked hard and brought it back up to a C+.

Apr 11 2017

I typed a longer message but was timed out. In short, Kobe is beginning to look like a true motocross racer. Kobe and has plenty of motivation and has had a positive attitude about riding. There are plenty of family members that bring over whatever they have to ride with us on our small track and they all have a blast. Kobes personal recorded lap is 2:25.29 (the fastest lap on the track was 1:55:49). Just the other day i seen  Kobe ride way faster than his PR. instead of recording his speed or timing Kobe, i was enjoying watching him. Kobe looks great so far and we are very excited for our first race, I am curious to see if, Kobe still has anxiety at the race track or if it has calmed down and he has learned to just have fun and race, like he does at home. now that we ride with plenty of people i hope his anxiety will go away.

than you to ALL of our sponsors, we cant do this without you,

Jan 25 2017

Kobes recieved his 2nd quarter report card today. Kobe earned 8 A's and 4 B's. I asked kobe what he wanted to do, to celebrate his good grades, kobe replies:

Kobe: either we can go to a water park or go to Dairy Queen.

Dad: Ha Ha, well a water park is more of a family event for summer time. so how about we go to Dairy Queen and a movie this weekend while mom and sister go to a hair salon.

Kobes eyes lit up and smiled with excitement. then later

Kobe says: i am going to try harder this time.....

Dad: Oh Boy! haha

Its the little things in life. the potential this kid or any other child with a good motive, is unreal.

Merry Christmas and Happy new Years to all of our Sponsors and Families.

Nov 27 2016

These last few week I, kobes Father, have been designing a practice track, in our back yard. I finished the final layout, which includes all of the existing jumps and recently been implementing some small jumps before the snow flies. I only have about one more good week to do what I can, weather providing. the track will take about 1:30-2:00 minutes to complete. I am very excited to have my son kobe and my daughter Aubrey, begin practicing on the track next season. this off season I will be purchasing a cheap bike to practice with both kids and help motivate them to do better by showing them what commitment means in regards to technique. i will get a video posted in the spring of next season. i set up my tri-pod hunting stand near the center of the track. i can almost see everything to record a good arial video.

Thank You,

Miller Family

Nov 10 2016

The 2016 motocross season has come to an end. We appreciate all of our sponsors for supporting our motocross journey. This was a difficult year for Kobe. Kobe has been  struggling with fear and confidence all year. On the bright side, Kobe switched schools this year and has improved his behavior and academics as well. Kobe has made tons of new friends at his new school. I firmly believe Kobe will go into the 2017 motocross season much more confident. Kobe will be introduced to a beginners workout program to build strength and endurance as well as a confidence program, during the off-season. Kobe will be ready to rip in the 2017 AMA District 16 motocross season. Below is where Kobe ranked this season. We both are not satisfied with the results of 16th Overall. Kobe has proven to be a top 5 racer in our District when he posses the confidence. Kobe is tall, so Kobe will be Racing his KX65 next season instead of finishing out the year on the 50cc.

Thanks again everyone, we highly appreciate the support,

Miller Family

Sep 18 2016

next race is in Tigerton, WI. This race will be one of the last 2 races of the ama district 16 season for kobe. we wont be able to attend the last points race of the season due to a wedding event.  we are unsure what spot kobe will land as far as season ending points. we are hoping to fight for the 10th overall spot but kobe will have to dig hard for it. my best guess is kobe will end his points anywhere from 10th-15th. its a tight race for the 10th spot in our district.

Sep 4 2016

Pine Ridge Raceway. Kobe took 7th in moto1 and 10th in moto2 for 8th overall. kobe raced hard but struggled in the tight sand corners and going uphill with momentum. kobe made a lot of new friends and we watched a lot of racing together. kobe is improving at his own pace. kobe has already outgrown his Cobra 50 SR but he will finish out the year on it and start racing his kx65, which kobe is a lot more comfortable on, for the last few races.

thank you everyone for all your support.

Aug 20 2016

august 20th and 21st is the BATTLE OF WISCONSIN. where a supercross event is built for saturday and motocross event is on sunday. Both days combined will crown the overall champions as the best overall racers. this is going to be where we will finally se where kobe ranks among the best this weekend has to offer. I only hope he does his best and makes himself a very proud and improving contender in the District 16.

Aug 13 2016

Gravity Park USA 8-13-16. Kobe's 1st Moto Pee-Wee 7-8 class, Kobe didn't have a good holeshot and followed a racer for 2 laps before making a sweet pass and pulling away and almost catching up to 4th place. Kobe raced great and kobe was very exciting to watch. Moto 1 in the mini open class Kobe Looked great again. The gate dropped and so did kobes attention. Lol. Kobe was a few seconds late getting going. Kobe fought hard and passed several racers making quick decisions and passing quickly. Kobe raced hard from last and finished in 4th place. Moto2 Pee-Wee 7-8 class Kobe has a middle of the pack holeshot and on the 2nd lap Kobe cross rutted around a corner a tipped the bike. After kobes mistake he lost momentum and could see and tell Kobe wasn't racing hard. After his Moto I had a talk with him about giving up too quickly. Told him if you mess up get up as fast as you can and keep pushing hard. Don't slow down and quit on yourself when there are plenty of laps to make yourself proud. Kobe finished that Moto in 8th place for a 7th overall. The final results Definately do not define kobes efforts on this day. Kobe took my words of advice and on Moto 2 of the mini open class Kobe wheelies after the gate drops. The throttle sticks wide open on the ground so I pushed Kobe away to get the bike for him before he picked it up and let the bike take off without him. Lol. Then Kobe finally gets on and I say GO!!! Kobe looks at me and says I can't and tries to pull the throttle back. The throttle was stuck in the forward position. Geez, I pulled it back and got it ready to rip. Now that even last place had a 30 second head start, Kobe starts hauling ass. Took Kobe about a lap and a half to catch up to last place. Kobe didn't give up even though it's about 10:30 pm and he's racing. Its too dark to see most of the track but the final results said Kobe finishe in 5th place for a 5th overall. What a great day of learning from mistakes and what it

Jul 2 2016

at practice today kobe was pushing as hard as he does at home. on the last lap of practice kobe crossed ruts and flipped the bike and hit his funny bone, no injuries just a little shook up. a little pep talking and kobe was ready for his race with his head held high. moto1 kobe took off and kept up with the fast kids on the holeshot then fell in line in 5th place. kobe made one pass during the race and finished in 4th with 3rd and 2nd place within reach, but too late. moto 2 kobe raced about 9 p.m. kobe grabbed a good holeshot coming out of the corner in 2nd but fell in line qickly and settled in 5th at the finish line. today was the best race I ever seen kobe have. he pushed harder than ever and we hope we all can continue this momentum to eventually earn kobes first 1st place trophy. we have a long way to go but we are making great progress in just the last few weeks. next weekend is a double header in wittenberg, wi. we are looking forward to having a full gate at this local track. we are hoping kobe can keep his momentum and learn to fight harder for positions.

Jul 2 2016

Today, we are preparing for Chiltons Gravity Park USA District 16 Points Race this evening at 5:30pm. For our preparation we are meeting up with a fellow District 16 member in kobe's class to train together at Fuzzy Fly MX in Cecil, WI in the morning. My truck is operational and we are finally ready for a good points race. kobe has practiced hard on his KX65, these last two weeks and we are excited to see what type of results kobe can earn for himself on his CX50SR. I will update, tomorrow for kobes final results. As parents we are hoping to see kobes best foot forward and learn to give his maximum effort.

Jul 2 2016

last weekends double header attempt for Sugar Maple MX was a bust. my truck had fuel pump and overheating issues, so I couldn't get kobe to the races. I felt terrible because all week kobe pushed harder than he ever has practicing on his KX65, which kobe seems to be nearly full throttle on the straights. so on the day before the race I wanted kobe to see what he could do on his CX50SR. for the first time on the cobra kobe was going full throttle on our figure 8 training section and taking much faster corners. kobe improved greatly in only one weeks time and many positive mental attitude speeches.  July 2, 2016 is the next race we will attend in Chilton, Wi Gravity Park USA. we are looking forward to seeing how kobes speed training carries over to a big motocross track. a slow start to the season with only 3 races thus far but looking forward to picking up some slack in the next few weekends.

May 15 2016

at Marshfield t & t riders club in Marshfield, wi. practice started at 8am. kobe followed a few other kids towards a closed section for little bikes, of the track. the section was extremely muddy and the type that packed tight to the tires and it did a great job. kobe pulled off the track and we began cleaning the bike asap. moto1 10th place and moto2 was 9th place. kobe pushed harder than normal in moto2 and looked very good getting used to some of the power that the cobras bring to the table. kobes throttle was steady and he was catching 8th place easily. if kobe can keep up this momentum, kobe will be quite impressive by mid season. thank you to all the sponsors. we couldn't be more proud of kobe and his love of this sport.

Dec 25 2015

We had a Great Christmas! I finally am able to reveal the 2016 Cobra CX50 SR to my son Kobe today. Kobe loves the new bike and its colors. Aubrey, Kobes little sister(3 years old), finally seen her pink and purple 2014 KTM 50 Mini. Aubrey loved her bike as well as all the Amazing looking Riding Gear from ANSWER RACING. I want to thank all the sponsors that helped make this bike possible and helping create motocross memories forever!)
