Rider Updates
By KoBra MotorsportsSAN DIEGO, CA- Amateur Motocross racer Kellen Brauer has announced that today (December 22, 2011) he has established a racing team which will be formally named KoBra Motorsports.Brauer, 18, has been riding dirt bikes since he was 7-years-old and has won races on the Amateur circuit including the Glen Helen International twice.KoBra Motorsports is being established by Brauer to expand his role in motocross in both the industry as well as racing."I've wanted to get a team together for a while now," said Brauer. "I sat down with several people close to me and pitched the idea and since then things have been going really fast and I'm very excited for my new team and my outlook on the 2012 season."Brauer expects to be putting KoBra Motorsports on the race track as often as he can in 2012 and pick up where he left off in 2011 with more race victoies."In 2011, I jumped onto the 450 and it was a steep learning curve but I was really excited for it and now I feel better than ever and my fitness is good and the bike is good and I can't wait to line up on the gate again," said Brauer. "Right now, I'm paying for my riding and racing out of my pocket and I hope to pick up some sponsors soon," continued Brauer. "I also am currently working on obtaining a second rider for the team and the talks are going good so hopefully soon it will be a two rider team."Brauer also plans to use his team to aid younger riders along and develop a growth in motocross racers local and beyond."I hope to continue riding and racing with my dad too. He was really helpful in getting me to where I am now with my racing and I can't thank him enough for it," said Brauer."Bottom line is I am ready to race and stoked for 2012!"
