Personal History

Immediately enrolled in Motorcycle Mechanics Institute right out of Highschool in 2008.  Started working at a local dealership in 2010, and have been here ever since.  Did three years in the service department as a Flat rate B tech before moving over to the parts department.  I absolutely love working with and around motorcycles of all kinds.  It is always great being able to do some shop talk with our more veteran and experienced customers, along with point new riders in the right direction and get them setup for the best time of their lives.

I am currently working on an Associates in Science at my local community college.  Although the process is a bit slow sometime between work and everything else, I feel it's important to always be growing as an individual.

Bought my first street bike when I was 17 and haven't gone a day without one since.  Bought my first dirt bike in early 2013 and still haven't come down off of the high.  Me and the guys from the shop are out riding every chance we can get, and learn a new thing or two every week.

Competed in the AMA West Round 1 Hare Scramble in Janurary of 2014 in the open C class.  Finished 5th.  Shortly after that I was in a pretty bad accident on a motocross track practicing for the next race (made for some good GoPro footage thought!).  Severe concussion, pnuemothorax, punctured and collapsed lung, shattered shoulder ball (forgetting the technical name), 4 broken metatarsals in the foot along with other minor things.

Have been back in the saddle again for the last 4 weeks, getting back into my routine, and starting to practice again for the upcoming 2015 AMRA season.

Riding Goals

My riding goals include to simply become the best rider I can, while having the best time possible while doing it.

I would of course, like to move up into the B class when the time is right, and the idea of a podium finish is always nice!

Aside from competition, I want to continue to ride new and challenging trails.  I also want to explore more single track up north.

Competitive Highlights

The best competetive moment I have is from the AMA Rnd 1 Hare Scramble.  2 Hours of torture, but 2 hours of pure enjoyment.  I still love watching the GoPro footage.  Being my first sanctioned race, it was a huge learning experience, something I'll never forget.
