Personal History
Hi
My name is Zennon John Shain. I was named after my grandpa. A lot of people call me Z dog, or just Z. I have been riding motercycles since I was 3 years old, but I didn't start racing until the summer of my 11th birthday. Yeah a little late, but my parents were afraid of me getting hurt and they also wanted me to enjoy other sports like baseball.
I have a lot of friends but I love it most when I find a friend that loves to ride as much as I do. Day in and Day out that is all I think about. Whether I am messing with my friends on Pit bikes or full on practicing I just love to ride.
My dad used to be a dirt bike racer so my grandparents bought me my first bike when I was just 1 week old. There is a picture of my mom when she first saw the dirt bike and she didn't look happy. From the age of 3 my mom used to run next to me while I would ride. I took off on my Honda 50cc before my training wheels arrived. My mom gets really nervous about me riding, but she is always there to cheer me on. Back to my dad, well he is my everything. He's my mechanic, coach, fan and biggest supporter. He gives me alot of good tips, but sometimes I just don't listen. Yeah that is a little problem we have, but I think that is true for all father son teams. Maybe I could talk with James Stewart and ask him how he and his dad get along. Maybe they could give my dad and I some tips.
Riding Goals
Well I have a lot of goals, but one my dad and mom would want me to improve on is my hole shot. I am not that good on the line and then I have to play catch up throughout the race. Others have even commented to my dad when I do have a good start. Man I just got to improve my starting gate. My dad is also always commenting about where my hand is when I am coming into corners. See there are good and bad things to technology. GoPros always tell the truth. Fingers on the clutch!
