ELIZABETHTOWN — Ask any 6-year-old what their favorite thing to do and they’d probably say they like to play in the dirt.

Zane Graziano, the 6-year-old son of Tara and Wade Graziano of Glendale, takes that to the extreme.

Graziano qualified for the world’s largest amateur motocross race over the weekend, the 27th annual Air Nautiques/AMA Amateur National Motocross Championships, at Loretta Lynn’s Ranch in Hurricane Mills, Tenn.

“We’re just really excited he’s made it,” Tara Graziano said. “Regardless it’s just exciting that at this age level he made it. Hopefully it’ll give him a taste and he’ll want to go back next year.”

In the 4-6-year old Shaft Drive Championship, Zane finished 37th in a field of 42 riders.
