Personal History

My name is Zaida. I live in a small Colorado mountain town called Marble. I am super active especially outdoors. I started skiing when I was 2 1/2 yrs old. I learned how to snowboard when i was 5. I played baseball for 5 years as the only girl on the team as a starting pitcher and utility player. I started driving my 4 wheeler and snowmobile over 2 miles each way to school when i was 8. I started dirt biking when I was 12. I raced my first motocross season when I was 13 and completed the season in the top 10 out of 24 racers in my class. I love dirt biking and other motor sports.

Riding Goals

My first motocross season my goal was to not get injured. I was successful at that. Halfway through the season I set another goal to be in the top 10 which I accomplished. Next season my goals are to be safe, have fun and to get into the top 5 of my class.

Competitive Highlights

My first race was the Thunder Valley Amateur Race in Lakewood, CO the day after the pro race. I was so excited to be on the same track as the pros. I made it across finish line without incident. It was my first podium. That got me hooked on racing. I was able to finish in the series championship 10th out of 24 racers in the Girls Senior 12-!6 class.
