Personal History

Well I am a full time pre-med student majoring in human biology with ambitions to become an ER physician. I became an EMT last year and I liked it so much I figured I should just go all out.

Back in March I had a really bad break in my wrist where I had an emergency surgery because I had no feeling in my hand. So right now I have been riding since August 5th which was just under 5 months off the bike and each time I ride the ligaments feel stronger and stronger. It was my right wrist and with an all sport dynamics brace on it I have developed a killer chicken wing style with my right arm because my brace holds it to pretty tight tolerances cause a reinjury is not in my things to do list.

But as far as I go... I just enjoy being really busy! I cant have downtime... making this profile was hard for me to sit down and do because I feel like I am killing valuable daylight haha. But I just like hanging with my good friends from PanicRev and taking life day by day.

Riding Goals

This coming year is going to be what I had planed for my season in '09 because of my injury. I plan to continue racing the B classes along with racing a fair share of WORCS races in the Pro 2 class. With schooling I'm not going to be able to go to all the amateur nationals but for the ones I know I will be at will be Oak Hill or Whitney (one or the other), possibly world mini but school may hamper that, Mammoth, Lorrettas, and all of the west coast nationals as an amatuer. The funny story behind my injury was I quit my job which was making me work every weekend and not allowing me to race in order to race more and the day after my last day I broke my wrist! So now I will finally be able to do the multiple series which are held here in Southern California and really build my actual "racing" skills. Its easy to go fast in practice but the feeling you have while racing really throws off your groove if your not use to it and thats something I've always been weak in, but now I am really looking foward to building those skills.

Competitive Highlights

Well I have won a few races in Intermediate and Collegeboy but honestly I have had races with I felt super pumped on and I may have only finished top 5. I love races where everything flows and you can ride as hard as you can and have fun and just rip around the track.

But in '08 at mammoth in my last race as a novice, I won my heat races both days on my 450 but because of my impatience in the mains I fell both days which really killed my results even though I rode really well. One day I holeshot my heat and it was the best feeling being the first person up the hill!

But my true compeditive highlight of my career was my rehab through my injury and proving everyone and the statistics for my injury and being on a bike as soon as I did.

Stay tuned for the highlight reel which it to come... have faith in me!
