Personal History
Outside of moto, I'm a safety instructor for San Antonio Water System where I teach new and current employees about Confined Space Safety, Chemical Awareness, HAZMAT Safety, Lockout Tagout and various other safety topics. Essentially, my job is to teach our guys how NOT to get themselves killed or seriously injured in the dangerous environments they work in.
My other hobbies are golf, softball, and mountain biking. All very secondary to moto but they keep me sane during the week when I'm not riding.
I got the opportunity to go to college at Florida State University where I received my B.S. in Food and Nutrition. While I was attending FSU, I made a lot of friends; most of which are in the moto community in that area and I was able to become friends with and meet a lot of people in the industry and am still friends with today.
Riding Goals
For 2025, my goal is to race at least once per month and race in the '25 AMA District 20 Championship series in 25+ A and 30+A/B. Secondary to the AMA D20 Series, I will be racing the Texas EMX Series to gear up for D20. My goal would be to place top 3 in each series in each class.
I also work with mainly younger riders and some older riders on technique and race craft. I do not do this for money as I truly enjoy working with other riders on how to become better, safer riders, all the while learning how fun the sport can be. I hope to continue to do this and meet more and more riders/people, maybe one day making money as an instructor; although, the money side is not the main goal.
Competitive Highlights
Over the past fews years, I have pulled almost every holeshot at races I compete in and have been one of the fastest riders at the races. Which is cool considering some of the talent that shows up to the races. Also, interesting that it seems that at 33 years old, I feel like I'm the fastest I've ever been; still being able to keep up with the young A riders.
