Personal History
My name is Zachary Mumpower, I am 13 years old and live in California, MD. I am in the 8th grade and a member of the National Junior Honor Society since the 6th grade. I am also a member of the Young Leaders fo St. Mary's County. In which I was invited to attend a week long camp to imporve my leadership skills. By being in both of these clubs you will see that I have been recognized for my character, leadership and grades. All of which I carry onto the track (riding and hanging out) with me.
This is my first year of competitive racing with the Mid Atlantic Motocross Association. We missed the first two races out of 15 races in which I still finished in 8th place overall in my 80C class. I also ride a Honda 150CRF in a supermini class. I started this class later in the year but my last race I am already finishing in the 10th position.
My other hobbies include boating, crabbing and fishing. We live on the Patuxent River and any chance I get I enjoying being on the water.
Riding Goals
My goal for the coming year include being able to race in part of the winter series.
As for the 2011 MAMA series I plan to stay consistant with my racing to have a top 3 overall finish in points.
I also would like to attend one of the mini camps that are offered at Budds Creek. I think that being taught by a pro would give me the skills to be able to have that 1st place finish.
I hope to get on the podium at least a few times in 2011!
Competitive Highlights
My major highlight of 2010 would be when I raced at Budds Creek and finished in the 4th position. I was extremely excited finishing in the top 5 especially since this is a professional track.
My other highlights are being consistant through out the year with my racing and continuing to finish in the top ten. This is my first year of competitive racing and to have an overall of 8th place my 1st year is very exciting. This makes me look forward to the winter series and the 2011 season with Mid Atlantic Motocross Association.
