Personal History
History: Zach began racing motocross, summer 2004, in Wisconsin. He started in the 50cc peewee junior class when he was six years old. In late 2006, our family relocated to Texas. He raced his KTM SX 65cc in the 10-11 and open classes. Currently he races his 2008 Kawasaki KX 85 and 2007 Kawasaki KX 100 in both the 85cc 12-15 class and 85cc-150cc supermini. Early 2012 he will begin racing the Schoolboy class on his 125.
Training Schedule: Zachary trains weekly at two, nearby tracks. These tracks are local favorites of his where he improves skills, keeps competitive, and builds relationships with fellow racers. Zach has also been to numerous racing schools and training since 2005-2006. He has trained with a local pro and will begin this again in early 2012. Zach is also in an “off season” athletic program five days a week. This is a strength training and nutrition program for middle school students that runs November 2011 – June 2012 and works out 3 days per week at a local gym with his parents.
Educational Achievement: Zachary is consistently on the A/B Honor Roll at Kerr Middle School in Burleson, Texas. He is involved in numerous school activities and plays middle school football. In his spare time, he rides BMX and participates in freestyle.
Commitment: If Zachary obtained sponsorship; it would mean so much for his success and self esteem. Zachary's fortitude speaks volumes of who he is as a person and sportsman. Zachary is very committed to motocross and understands what sponsorship means to the sport. He has been racing for eight years. It is a large part of who he is today. Overall, Zachary is well deserving due to his achievements on/off the race track.
Character: Zachary is very fair, honest, determined, and driven to succeed. Zachary races as hard as he can each time. He absolutely loves racing. He looks forward to the competition, pushing himself, and meeting new people. He has a winning spirit and not afraid of a challenge.
Riding Goals
Race in more regional qualifiers to get back to Ponca City and then Loretta's for 2012.
Pursue additional mx training for 2012-13 season.
Continue to race at large, Texas race events to advance racing skills on my 85 and 125.
Maintain GPA to get on Dean's List/A Honor Roll at School
