Personal History
My name is Wyatt Mckillip. I live in Cloverdale Oregon. I am 16 years old. ive been riding since i was 7 years old. I started off on a crf50 then worked my way up to a crf80. I have had several bikes since then; xr100, kx80, kx100, 2 cr125's, and now my current ktm 125. I have a couple of pro friends that got me into racing. I started racing last year, at my first ever race i took 6th place. i could of done alot better but i got tired really quick, and pulled over alot. I have improved a lot since then. Now i ride much more aggressive and can do a 2 hour long race no problem. My goal is to eventually catch my pro friend and compete with him.
Riding Goals
My goals as a rider are to get better and have fun. I am currently 16 years old and am racing the expert class this year in the OMRA series. This is only my second year of racing. I want to eventually become a local pro then go from there. My main types of racing are the offraod series, like the cross countrys(XC) and the grand prix (GP). I race through Oregon Motorcycle Riding Association (OMRA).
Competitive Highlights
This is only my second year of racing so i dont have many highlights. I Have won at washougal mx park once in the amateur class, and got a 3rd place there again in the amateur class. One thing that im really proud of is that i was racing at Shed Oregon at a GP style race. I had my stock tank on at the time so i couldent carry much fuel, plus my bike drinks fuel. So i was in first place, then about quarter of a mile from the finish my bike runs out of gas, devestated i couldent DnF so i told my self i had to push it, so i pushed it across the finish line and ended up finishing 6th. It was a good experience and i bought a oversized tank the moment i got home.
