Personal History

Hello,

My name is Wyatt Brittner, and I am twenty years old.  I am currently attending the University of Nevada, Reno, and plan to graduate Spring 2016, with a degree in Wildlife Ecology and Conservation.  My goals are to work with the Nevada Department of Wildlife, or the US Fish and Wildlife Service as a Fishery Biologist.  I started riding motorcycles at age four, but did not start competing until 2010.  I am currently racing the Open Expert class in the MRANN series (Motorcycle Racing Association of Northern Nevada).  I also have recently competed in the "A" class for the District 36 series in Northern California.

Riding Goals

Recently, I acheived one of my goals that I have been pursuing since i started racing, getting bumped to the Expert class.  My future goals are to work my way to the top of  the expert class, and hopefully earn a "Blue Plate," which the top 20 overall riders earn.  Starting with the amateurs, i was able to pass over 40 experts in my last race and earn 18th overall.  I am working very hard at completing this goal, and I have shown that I have the speed that is needed to achieve my goal aswell.

Competitive Highlights

One of my most memorable competitive highlights was at the 2014 Virginia City Grand Prix.  Over two days, over 1000 riders race the 30-40 mile course.  I raced on Saturday with the Amateurs and Experts.  I drew the 199th starting number, and was racing the Open Amateur Class.  After the three hours of racing, I finished 44th overall, and first in my class by over seven minutes.

Another one my most memorable races was my most recent race.  Starting from the Amateur line I was able to earn an eighteenth overall finish out of over 100 finishers.  This was my best finish in the local MRANN series I compete in.
