Personal History
My name is Wyatt Abele. I live in southeastern Ohio with my parents. I am in seventh grade. I achieved straight A's this past year in sixth grade. My teachers say that I am a helpful and well behaved student. I always complete my homework as soon as I get off the bus. I help out at home doing farm work. I feed our three cows, feed the goats, take care of my black lab Sailor, help with hay, and sell firewood. I also like going to help my grandpa on the farm.
I enjoy playing sports such as football and wrestling. I finished second in the Muskingum Valley League wrestling tournament in my weight class this year. I also take guitar lessons and enjoy playing the guitar. I also workout two to three days a week and like to use my Indo Board to improve my balance and wrestling to keep up my endurance and strength. I also like to mountain bike as part my workout. Other hobbies I enjoy is snowboarding and fishing.
Riding and racing dirtbikes is my passion. I have been racing since I was six years old. I help my parents clean and maintain all my dirtbikes and equipment. I like competing against other riders and I display good sportsmanship.
I am riding a KTM 85 and 105. My goal this past year was to make it to three regionals. I achieved my goal by making it to three of the regionals. The best place I finished at a regional was 11th. I hope to make it to Loretta's one day.. That is my dream and I am working hard to make it come true. I will not give up....
Riding Goals
For this coming year, I hope to:
- Plan to race Mini Sr 1 Mini Sr 2 and Supermini 1
- Train with Levi Kilbarger
- Do well at the quailifiers
- make it to three of the regionals in 2017
- make it to LL in 2017
- Keep improving
Competitive Highlights
I finished first in points my first year (October 2010) in the 4-6 year race bike class at Fly MX Park in Fly, Ohio.
February 4 & 5, 2011 I rode in my first indoor arenacross race at Columbus, Ohio. On day one I finished 5th place in the 50cc class and 7th place on my 65cc. On day two I finished 6th place on my 50cc bike and 7th on my 65cc bike.
February 12, 2011 I rode in Huntington, West Virginia at their indoor arenacross championships. I finished 2nd place on my 50cc bike against other kids that made it to Loretta's.
March 27, 2011 started the OVMX Series (Ohio Valley MotoCross). I raced at Wildwood Lake Raceway on a snowy day. I finished first on my 50cc bike and fifth place on my 65cc.
Made it to the regionals my first year (2012) of trying on my Cobra 50.
January 4th and 5th, 2013 I finished first in the 7-9 65cc class at the WV Indoor Motorcross Championship. I finished 3rd on January 4th and 2nd on January 5th in 7-11 65cc class. Made it to the Mid East Regional and North East Regional in 2013.
Qualified in the NE, ME, and NC regional in 2014. I came up short due to injuries.
Qualified in the NE, ME, and SE regional in 2015 in both 85cc and limited 9-11. The best was finish I had was 11th at SE regional.
