Personal History
I started riding at age 11 in a small town in Pennsylvania, I wanted a bike for 2 years before that and finally talked my mom into it, and I fell in love.
I progressed very quickly as I'm a very fast learner at anything I do (except basketball), I think I learned to ride mostly by visualization and watching my favorites on races and movies
My mother and father were seperated and he passed when I was in 6th grade, we didn't have a great relationship but I like to think if he was still here we would be past that and he'd be very proud of me. Other than my mom helping me get my first bike and signing the release forms I basically have done and paid for it all on my own with the help of friends along the way. When I turned 18 is when I really got serious and progressed with racing, hitting as many races as could afford to.
I snow birded back and for from PA to Vegas where my sister lives for a couple years in a row to get as much riding as possible in and then would come back to PA in the summers for some racing
Along the way I aquired a lot of debt and a lot of hospital bills, so I decided to take a step back and play catch up for a while a few years ago after breaking my leg and then starting my own business. But, its time to ride again. I have really noticed how not doing something that you knew for so long can affect your mood and overall well being.
Motocross may have put me through a lot of pain and difficulties, but what doesn't. It has helped make me who I am and helped teach me many valuable life lessons.
Riding Goals
I'm just looking to have fun with riding again and take it back to a place that I felt at a young age. I'd like to do a lot more free riding and throwing whips, maybe if I feel up to it some Arenacross would be great.
I'm currently doing a lot of mountain biking and trying to put the work in off the track so on the track is the easy and fun part, which is one thing I neglected now looking back, I feel I could have done a lot more, but I can't blame myself. I learned a lot on my own with no father, coach or mentor to help guide and push me, but now with more life experience I know what needs done in any aspect of life and I just do it, and self motivate myself.
Competitive Highlights
I would have to say I like looking back at what I've done with what I've had and known at the time. Always riding stock bike, suspension, etc. and doing as well as I did at times, Definately like my 2nd place behind my buddy Dustin Kendall on my 250f in the 450A class at Panther Hollow ;)
Also I'd say the Loretta Qualifier at Budds Creek in B class, full 40 gate, I hung the front wheel on the gate and stalled it, but worked my way from 40th to 19th in that short race
