Personal History

I started riding when i was about 4, i was driven by watching my brother ride around on his PW50, and he used to double when i was only small. As soon as i could balance on two wheels, my dad who has also ridden all his life bought my brother a new bike and i had the 50. From there i upgraded to a PW80, followed by a JR80. After that, there was an opportunity that arose in school for me to try out for a scholarship. Dad said that if i got this scholarship he would buy me a brand new motorbike. I got the scholarship, and so i got a 2010 Yamaha TTR125. that was a great day. about a year or two later i started getting faster and out growing the 125, and i asked dad if i could start racing, he said yes. That there is where my racing career started. We went out and bought a 2001 CR80 for $1800. I rode two seasons on that bike, before realising i needed another up grade. So we bought a 2010 YZ85 big wheel. after buying that bike i had the two most fun years of racing, and the final year resulting in my best place yet, a 3rd. after going through many growth spurts, we decided it was time for another upgrade. By this time, i had started working at the local motorbike shop in town, Super Moto Armidale, and they helped me out beyond belief. They were really great to me, supplying me with all the stuff i could need. They gave me an amazing deal on a 2015 Honda CRF250R, and the bike is amazing. I am feeling really great on the bike and can't wait for the season to begin.

I went through primary school at a New England Girls School. Don't be deceived, the primary school was co educational. NEGS (New England Girls School) is one of the three private schools in Armidale. The other two being Pedestrians Ladies College and The Armidale School. Pedestrians ladies college is an all girls school from kindergarten right through to year 12, and The Armidale School, which is where i am now and have been since year 7 and will continue to finish my schooling there, is an all boys school from Year 7 and up. The Armidale School, or TAS is known for being highly supportive in all area's of sport. There main sports being Rugby and Soccer in the winter, Cricket and Basketball in the winter. They also have a very strong strength and conditioning program which is all about getting you as fit and strong as possible. TAS being a sport driven school, you get pushed to exceed in all sports. In winter i participate in the Rugby program, and the season just passed, i was in the under 15 A's. In summer i play basketball, in which they have an under 16's A's team, i also was in that team.

Riding Goals

My current riding goals are to get to the top step of the podium, get some race wins under my belt on the new bike, and try excel in the local leagues. There are a lot of fast guy and girls that come to our local races from miles away, and some of them going to Australian Titles in Motocross and Enduro. i think with that connection, if i start excelling in the local stuff, i could 'tag' along with some of those fast people to some of the bigger events, and set further goals to push myself to eventually being number 1. It's not an easy road, and it may not happen, but i am prepared to give it my all. Stepping up into the 125 class, there is many many fast riders, and if i am going to get high positions in it, i am going to have to work very very hard. Ultimately i am looking at the number 1 trophy at the end of the year. I wouldn't really like to, but i will settle for 2nd and 3rd. I have never raced a motocross event, only Enduro and flat track, but i am looking expand my racing to doing some motocross events, i am not sure how i will do as there are some very fast people in motocross. I predict i will be looking at top tens, and a top 5 if i'm lucky.

Competitive Highlights

A massive competitive highlight for me is getting tied third in the championship in my first year of racing. unfortunately being tied first, it comes down to who ever placed highest in the last round. Unfortunately again that wasn't me. In my first year of Senior 85's on the Yamaha, i had some good battles for 3rd and 4th, but nothing higher than that. The season just gone has been my favourite season yet. I was feeling great on the bike, i was comfortable with where i was sitting and was having the most fun i have in a long time. I got my first ever 3rd place and being up in front of everyone and saying my speech, it was great. A really good feeling. I am looking forward to the season coming, and getting some better placings, i know i can battle with the people on top, i just need to prove that.
