Personal History
My name is William Walker Pelto, but I go by Walker. I have been riding dirt bikes since I was three, I am now 13, so I have been riding for 10 years. I live near the mountains. My family and I ride up in the hills a lot. I think trail riding is really fun with its steep rocky hills. I have a wonderful family and they support me in all I do. I have done many school sports, such as basketball, football, and track. I have a lot of determination; I took first in high jump at the district track meet and I was one of the shortest ones there. I babysat for a full year to earn money to help buy my bike. This year I got a brand new bike for the first time ever. I usually get older bikes that require maintenance and frequent repairs. This has given me experience getting to know the bike. I wash my new bike after every ride and tighten the bolts. I love riding dirt bikes. I have experience riding my dads 450 and feel that it has helped me with my riding skills. I have never had a dull moment riding dirt bikes. Ryan Villapoto inspired me to race.
Riding Goals
My personal riding goal is to be one of the best riders. I want to have one of the fastest laps at the track and get certified to go to Loretta Lynns. My goal is to have an outdoor championship and be sponsored by a motorcyle brand. I want younger kids to be able to learn from me and look up to me, I would like to help them reach their goals.
Competitive Highlights
My very first race was in Preston, Idaho. The practice the day before was the first time I have ever been on a track, I had the oldest bike there. On Saturday, my first moto, I placed 12th. Right before my 2nd race a very important bolt was missing from my bike, I was unable to race. I felt crushed. I learned from that race to check all my bolts frequently.
I just did my second race and got 8th my first Moto and wrecked 3 times, my second Moto I got 6th and tipped once, overall I got 7th for my second time racing
