Rider Updates
Jun 1 2015
After yet another DNF and another weekend of practice I think its time for another update. Last weekend I raced Golden Pines in the 450 C class. First moto went decent where I came in 3rd. After all first motos were complete, the skies decided to open up and pound the track with hard rain for about an hour. Track workers tried their best to make fixes and it came down to "do we want to race in it?" Motocross racers being what we are of course all got excited for a swampy mud race and all instantly yelled out "YES." Lining up for 2nd moto with about 15 tear offs on my goggles waiting for the gate to drop. Gate drops and I was sitting about 5th by the time we reached the 2nd corner and I had already pulled 4 tear offs. By the end of the first lap I was down to 1 tear off and was running in 3rd place. In the process of trying to make a pass for 2nd place on a sweeping corner, my front tire washed out and I was off the bike and hit by 2 more bikes behind me. I got up to at least cruise to a finish and after hitting 1 step up, my leg locked out and it was time to roll off the track.
This past weekend I practiced out at MX56 in Alabama. Having never been there before it was a great weekend. Got a good 5 20 min motos in before helping out some newer riders with more basic things. All in all, I am ready to race this upcoming weekend and I will do what I can to keep it on 2 wheels! Thanks for the support from all of my sponsors!

Finally back from injuries that unfortunately happened while racing Arenacross in Council Bluffs, Iowa! Last weekend was my first time back out on the bike at a track called "County Line MX" here in Florida about 2 hours from home. Rolled out there last weekend with a team mate who was still injured and put in some motos and had a solid weekend. This past weekend we returned 5 riders strong with our trailer, canopies, the whole works. We arrived there late Friday and unpacked to be ready for Saturday and slept in the trailer. Saturday was a bit of a sloppy day but it ended up being a great day of riding and a great day of practice. Sunday was the best day of riding I have had in a long time. All of my team riders are back strong and we put in some solid training Sunday. All in all the weekend was a complete success and we left with all bikes and riders intact. Thanks for all the support, I look forward to continuing to update.

After renewing my page again I feel it is time for another update.
I had a rough run in with Arenacross in March and ended up with a broken hand and torn meniscus in my knee in Council Bluffs, Iowa. It was a rough day and my hand is still in the process of healing. On a positive note, a friend and I have finally started running our motocross schools on weekends for beginner riders or riders who just want someone who can watch and let them know what we see. Things are taking off on that end.
During my race in Council Bluffs I qualified for the main event in my heat with no LCQ. I started in the back row during the main and got an amazing start that put me into 5th place. On lap 3 there was a pileup over the finish due to lappers and by the time I came over it was to late. I went into that pileup, over the bars, and face first into another bike. Somehow my nose got busted up a little bit and my hand was broken. I managed to get on the bike and take off. Dedicated to finishing the race I tried to go as fast as my hand would let me and I fought my way up to 5th again. Well as fate would have it a lapped rider collided with me on lap 5 while in the air over the finish line as I set up a pass outside on him. So that put me off the bike and messed my knee up a bit. DNF. Not how i wanted it to be but that is how it ended. The EMTs were impressed that I rode with a broken hand and blood running down my face but there was no way I was going to finish after the collision. More updates coming soon! thanks to all who support me!

It has been awhile since I have updated anything on here. So I will go ahead and update on what i have been up to and what has been going on in my life. Since my last post the local track has closed and i have had to start riding at different peoples private tracks for practice as well as some schools for beginner riders. I have helped teach 6 schools now for new riders and even some of my local competition. Most schools averaging 2 days and an average of 8 students assigned to me alone. It has been a rewarding experience getting back down to the basics and using the instruction and demonstration I give the students to help myself get better in the process. It was a good time to slow down and not concentrate so much on lap times but instead to work the track section by section and corner by corner. I hope there are more schools coming in the future. The Amsoil series is upon me once again shortly. It is time to start working for that type of riding as the cold will set in soon and it will be harder to ride outdoors around here. I plan on competing in 2 difference amsoil arenacross races while I am back home. Kansas City, Missouri.....and Council Bluffs, Iowa. It will be good to finally race at each of those again being as i havent raced at either location indoors since i was a young champion. I look foward to the challenge and welcome it to give me its best shot and keeping me off the podium. My workouts started to slack a bit but with arenacross upon me it is time to kick it in gear again. More updates coming soon!
