Personal History
I'm a 59 year old Vet class motocross racer who has been racing since 2010. My first year, in my third race ever, I finished 8th overall at the OTHG South National at Glen Helen. I am from Bakersfield, California and am married to a wonderful woman, Jennifer, and have two children of my own and two step children . They range in age from 22 to 34and all but one ride. I have enjoyed motorcycle riding since I was 10 but left the sport for about 20 years after I got married. I became reinvolved in the sport in 2002 and began trail and desert riding. In 2010 I decided I wanted to try track riding and was fortunate enough to meet several members of a local Vet racing club, the Over the Hill Gang. They invited me join the club, which I did, and worked with me to get me ready for my first race. I finished last in that race, but I was hooked. The vast majority of my time on a bike now is spent turning laps at the track.
Riding Goals
2020 is around the corner and filled with opportunity. I'm looking forward to racing in the 58 Novice class and having a productive and successful season. I hope to be competitive enough to compete for another championship to go with the one I got in 2013 as a beginner. I plan on hitting all our local races this year as well as all the club Nationals, including Glen Helen, Hollister and Hangtown.
