Personal History

I’m a former race car driver that was searching to replace my need for speed. Three years back I found some local Harescramble races and I’ve been hooked ever since. I rode for a brief time when I was kid but hadn’t been on a bike in 25 years. I’m a mid to front of the pack “C” rider but have more fun being the slow guy than I ever did winning national titles as a race car driver.

I’m very involved in the sport now and stay active in two local clubs, I’m on the board of directors and control all the marketing and race promotions for events. We host two to three races each year and work with both SERA (Southern Enduro Riders Association) and FTR (Florida Trail Riders) to put on these events.

My passion for the sport runs pretty deep and I’ve been able to hook most of the family, friends, and co-workers. My wife, nephew, father, and two of my co-workers are now riding regularly and the nephew just completed his first race on October 5th, 2014 (he’s 5 years old). We are planning on running all of the SERA Harescrambles in 2015 and at least two of the National Enduros, and my nephew will be in tow for all the races that have the pee-wee events.

Riding Goals

My goals for the 2015 season will be to win the SERA Harescramble Title and continue to improve my scores in all of the National Enduro races. I’ve hired a personal trainer and we will start to work on both endurance and strength to help with the longer and warmer races. I love a challenge and I’m sure setting my goals high for next year will inspire me to work extra hard this off-season.

Competitive Highlights

I'm a former two time National Champion kart races but have yet to find my way to a victory on a dirt bike. The closest I've been is two fifth place finishes but, I also race with the young riders and refuse to race the 40+ class, it's too easy to win there. Last weekend I placed sixth in C Lites but would have easily won the C 40+ Class.
