Personal History

Introduction

WLTN Kawasaki will enter its second year of professional motocross racing in the 2024 Jetwerx Triple Crown Series, springboarding off of an exciting and rewarding 2023 season.

Walton Raceway has supported racers and events throughout its 50-year history, most notably with the Walton TransCan Amateur Grand National Championship. The Walton TransCan GNC has been a critical anchor for all Canadian motocross racers and a proud stop on the Jetwerx Triple Crown Series. Backing a National team that supports National events and the National series is a long-overdue exercise.

We are excited to develop the opportunities and secure all needed to compete in the Jetwerx Triple Crown Series, including professional motocross, Amateur motocross, Arenacross and Supercross series.

WLTN Kawasaki will learn from the established base of professionals to guide the team in this exciting venture, building off their experience, potential and base developed over the years.

Like in 2023, supporting all levels of athletes will be an important strategy. As official team members, the team will support amateur motocross racers competing in Canadian Amateur National events, specifically the Walton TransCan GNC, Western Amateur Nationals and Eastern Amateur Nationals.

The race program is based out of the Walton Raceway, where a newly built race shop and retail showroom open to the public during the race season. This proven idea has given other national teams the ability to offer a complete motorsport experience. At Walton, fans will have access to team personnel, the products, the brands and the resources behind this elite race team in a very personal way.

To support the essential off-track public reach of the team, the opportunity to actively partner with the Walton Raceway and Edge of Walton kids sports and motorcycle camps is another unique connection to generate new fans. Currently, Walton enjoys close to 1000 school-aged kids who visit the facility through camps, day experiences and school trips annually. The team athletes and staff will play important roles in the summer camps.

Sharing the message of racing and community programs is an additional benefit created by the new partnerships at Walton Raceway. The cross-promotion and cooperative access to Walton Raceway, Edge Of Walton and partner news media MXP Magazine offers more than 100,000 combined fans via the web, Facebook, Instagram and email distribution, in addition to print opportunities with unique content opportunities and direction.

The opportunities for the WLTN Kawasaki team are exciting. The complete connection of retail and creative space, national-level offroad facility, championship-capable race team, Amateur Grand National events and community-minded projects create the ultimate excitement and partnership.

These goals will be achieved through three important avenues: event interaction, social media strategy and community support.
