Personal History
Hello everybody,
I'm Vincent, I’m 6 years old and i live in Tulsa Oklahoma.
I like skiing, playing soccer, playing piano and drums, playing with my sister Sophia, and I love riding motocross.
Here is how this started:
Summer 2011: BMX or Electric Bikes?
I learned riding little bicycle without training wheels when i was 3 in July 2010, a little later my dad got me an electric toy bike from ToyRUs. Pretty funny little toy, check out how in my pictures how funny i was.
When i turned 4 a neighbor told me about BMX, i thought it was cool so i asked daddy to take me to the track. I had a bicycle 35 pounds heavy so daddy got me a used Redline "micro" and then I started racing BMX in the 4-5 class.
We used to go to Sand Spring BMX track, near Tulsa every Tuesday for training and on Saturday for the little local races. I liked it and i won several first, second and third, places. Not too difficult since there were only 3-4 kids my age. In August 2011 we went Dallas, and to Miami OK where i qualified for the ROC (Race of Champions) at the "Grand Nationals in Tulsa".
We went to the Grand Nationals...wow, it was BIG!...lots of riders in a 3 day event: 600 motos, 51 little kids in my age group, mostly 5 years old, bigger and meaner than me.
... well, we raced, I pulled out my cojones and kicked some butts out there...: we qualified for the final but...it was Thanksgiving weekend.
Do you know what happens at home on thanksgiving weekend?...mommy makes the Christmas tree! I could not resist the temptation to be home with Sophia and mommy and making the Christmas tree...so we left, daddy was kid a of disappointed, but guys, give me a brake I was only 4!
Remember the electric bike...I loved it, and soon I started liking it more than the bicycle, check out the style in my pictures.
2012: Santa is so cool, he got me a KTM!
Comes without saying Santa got me a 2005 KTM Pro Junior LC...now that was cool! ...but a little scary too.
I was 5, and I was soooo scared of the engine noise and the exhaust, and every time we would go to the MX track in Okmulgee OK, daddy had to bring the electric bike too. I would always say ...today I’m gonna ride the KTM... and then I would not...too scared of the noise.
Daddy was kind of tired too of pushing the electric bike up the jumps when the battery was dead...so one day in July, they got me in an ambush...they put me with Noah and Joel, and those 2 cool older guys convinced me to do not be afraid...another "big cojones" moment of my life...check out the proud moment with the cool kids…I was not even wearing the boots…
...that day I rode the wheels off the KTM...I quit riding at 8:30 PM because there was no light, and mommy told me it was dangerous, I cried all the way home. We returned to the track the following day, and when we left I cried again...pretty much I cried every time I got off the bike...
So... I started racing at Jandebeur's Motosport Park on Friday evening. I loved it. I won 3 first and a third.
2013: On my B-day daddy got me a Senior
The bike started getting a little slow, and as daddy says: “a little to old too”...so in January for my Birthday he got me a 2007 KTM Pro Senior LC.
With lowered suspensions and cut seat we went to the track. The first time I gassed it I wheeled it so high I almost flipped it over…With the Senior I raced at Bob's (Jandebeur's Motosport Park) and now with the powerful engine I rip the small track.
Now I ride and train on the big track, with the whoops, the triples and everything else.
Last June i raced my first serious race: Round 3 AMXA Sooner series in Muskogee OK. Even if I’m 6 I had to race the 7-9 class because of the KTM Senior bike...man these older kids are fast...i was the only 6 years old in the middle of these wolfs...
I got 6th out of 8, and 8th out of 10 in the OPEN. That was a difficult race, I fell 3 times, I kept the engine running but had to wait for someone to pick up the bike since I still cannot do it...so the second Moto was little disappointing I finished last.
This July I raced "Pin to Win It" series at TMX in Tulsa. Raced in the 4-6 class, by myself...pretty easy medal. Then, in the OPEN I was not feeling good since I ate to many candies and had tummy ache, but I pulled out the cojones and I got 3rd. Check out in my pictures me with my precious medals...my precious...
Riding Goals
2014: Rinaldi Racing
Since I really like this thing, daddy decided to trade in the Senior and his KTM 250 xcf and get me 2 brand new 2014 KTM 50 SX.
Next year we are going to be serious, or so we think...Daddy put together a nice plan for the rest of this year. I'm going to race almost every week ends in progressively harder races, from local Arena Cross, to Sooner Series to State Series. In December the Arena Cross comes to Tulsa and would be really cool to do it.
Who knows maybe...since now I can resist the Christmas tree temptation...
Goes without saying that by 2015 I will be 8 and then at the top of the class, we will aim at local Oklahoma State Series and to go to Loretta and then who knows what...
