Personal History

I am 18 years old and currently residing in Medford, OR with my brother and going to the gym two times a day and riding at least four times a week all around working a regular full time job at Oregon's Best Motorsports.  I moved in with him last winter so I can get more riding time and training time in cause my house is out in the country where it snows and the closest gym is 45 miles.  My brother is also one of my biggest inspiration’s as he fully supports me 110% and without him I wouldn’t be where I’m today as I receive no financial support from my parents.

Riding Goals

My short-term goals for the upcoming season are to make it to Loretta Lynn’s in both the MX Lites A and the Motocross A classes.  I would like to get my A.M.A. professional license for the Outdoor National’s and Supercross 2009 if not even earlier by racing the Pro-Am races and earning my 100 points.  Also just to get as much experience in the Pro class to be able to run that pace smoothly and consistently all year long.

Competitive Highlights

I started racing in November of 2001.  My first bike was a 2001 CR80 my parents bought for me.  My first race was in Fernley, NV in the MX West series.  I finished the 80 novice series in the top five and was hooked since the minute I left the gate for the start of my first moto.   In 2002 I won the 80 intermediate MX West 12 round series.  Then in 2003 I got a 2003 CR85 and was getting help from BVH.  Then ended up moving to Tulelake so that ended the deal with BVH and I outgrew that pretty fast so we switched brands and got a 2004 RM125 and jumped right into the novice class.  I ended up winning the MX West series in the 125 novice class that year by just a few points.  Then while racing the Toyota Arenacross in Reno, NV I suffered an injury that left me in the hospital for almost a month and off the bike for about 5 months.  So when I got the release to ride again I made the jump to a 4-stroke and a 2005 YZ250F, and also went up to the intermediate class for the later half of 2005 and had some alright finishes but struggled with the Yamaha.  So for 2006 got some help from the local Honda shop and finally got back on a Honda 2006 CRF250.  I started off the year still in the intermediate class and after feeling really strong and having some really good finishes I made the jump up to the Pro class in August.  I finished the Pacific Northwest Championship Series in fourth overall in the 125 pro class, and felt I could have done better cause my speed was there just not the consistency.  I started to get help with Suzuki in the beginning of 2007 which fell through the door, so we then went back to Yamaha with the local Yamaha dealer helping us out a lot.  I suffered from quite a few mechanical failures and a few injuries but then I had a huge breakthrough about ¾ of the way through my 2007 season.  While practicing on a Wednesday afternoon I was approached with an offer from Oregon’s Best to ride KTM’s, while I was a little leery at first I did decide to go ahead and give it a shot and I couldn’t be more happy with the decision.  So now being on good equipment and my training program stepped up to the next level, I have some big goals for the next season.
