Personal History
My name is Tyller Hicks, I am 18 and love to ride. I have ridden since I was 4 years old but never had any interest at being competitive or trying to be better. However, at 14 that all changed and I decided I wanted to become the best racer I possibly could. I am a senior in high school but I am homeschooled. I do dual enrollment for school which means that all of my classes are college classes. I have a 3.8GPA and am looking forward to transferring to NC State college for mechanical engineering. When I am not attending classes on Tuesday and Thursday, I am at work. I work for reclaim filters and systems. It is a small company out of Youngsville NC where I repair oxygen concentrators and help build major carwash system water filters. When I have downtime I love to play video games or go to the gym.
Riding Goals
I am looking forward to minios coming up. I will be racing C class on sx and mx throughout the week. After minios I will be moving up to B class due to attending Loretta's this year. I will be transitioning to a 450 soon due to my size and am looking forward to learning on the bike. Next year I will race B class and collegeboy. I will do my absolute best to try to qualify for Loretta Lynn's again in B class. Sponsors greatly help with the cost of this process and I would be honored to have the opportunity to promote your company.
Competitive Highlights
This year was my first year attempting to qualify for Loretta Lynn's. My attempt was off to an amazing start at doublin gap. After doublin gap I attented multiple other qualifiers and won multiple classes. For my southeast regional at Gatorback mx I did very well. I won the title in 450C and placed 2nd in 250C. However I would have won that class too if I didn't crash. I also qualified for 250C jr limited with a 5th place. After walking away with 3 tickets I was very happy. For Loretta Lynn's I had a major crash 2 weeks before where I shattered my left wrist. I had surgery within 3 days and began my healing process. At first I did not think I would be able to race but I decided to try because it was the biggest amateur race in the world. First and 2nd motos were terrible due to bike and injury problems. However in the 3rd motos k was able to get a 7th in 250C and450C. I also recently won the 250C NC state championship title at NCMP. I am looking forward for what the future holds
