Rider Updates

I will be taking a few weeks off here as I have had an issue come up that I need to take care of. I will be going to the doctor to have some test run to see if we can learn more about what is wrong with me. For a long time now I have had issues with feeling fatigued and fainting while doing something extraneous, if I had not taken in enough food or energy. We have never really quite figured out what it is, but it happened to me again today and I really need to figure out what it is and how I can take care of it so I won't have to worry about it. I would like to thank all of my sponsors for their support and hope to be back soon. I might also be trying something new when I get this issue of mine resolved, I am thinking about possibly trying a harescramble, so it could be interesting. In the meantime I will continue to what riding I can and stay in as good of shape as I can physically and mentally.

School is finally over for the year! I finished the school year off well and I am glad it is over at last. Now I will have a lot more time to keep more up to date with my blog and results and get on top of things. Last weekend was rough up at Sunset Ridge. The day started off really good, I got a decent start and worked up to third around the first corner in my first moto of the day in 250A. However, it didn't last very long, as I ended up crashing on the second lap and had some issues. The next moto, Open A, didn't go well either, as I ended up on the ground again, and suffered some bad road rash on my arm. Then in my first moto of 14-24, I ended up crashing once again and took a handlebar to the gut and my stomach and ribs were not feeling to good after that. I did manage to get going again, but it wasn't long before I ended up getting a flat tire. By this point in the day I was exhausted and beat up, it was a rough weekend, but I have worked on some things and am getting for the next weekend. With school out now, I will be getting in a lot more training and will be getting some more time on the bike and things should start going better. I am looking forward to having a much better weekend!

This weekend we ended up racing at Riverside Raceway in Winterset, Iowa on Saturday and then went up to the Motorsports Park in Byron, Illinois. Saturday was a somewhat rough day, I struggled a lot with my corners in the first set of motos, but turned in around in the second motos and felt a lot better about my riding. My results weren't the best, but they will come, I will just keep working on things and improving. Then on Sunday I had a really good day, there was a lot of fast riders and I had fun. I got good starts which was really helpful and ran good motos. First set of motos went really well and I was happy with the results. Then when the second motos came around I had a few issues. I ended up frying the clutch on my 250 in the 14-24 class and then had to go right back on the line for the 250A class. Then it didn't get much better as the rear brake pedal got ripped off the bike and I ended up crashing and was unable to finish the race due to bike issues. However, I rebounded and came back out in the Open A class and ran a good, solid moto and finished the day off happy with my performance. I will continue to work on some techniques throughout the week and then we plan on heading back up to Byron again this upcoming weekend for the Loretta Lynn's qualifier.
