Personal History

My name is Tyler Duncan, I am 19 years old.  I've been riding for 8 years and racing for 7 now and I currently am racing in the A class.  Some of my hobbies aside from riding and racing include bicycling, jumping on a trampoline, playing with my dog, and listening to music.  My favorite rider would have to be Travis Pastrana because I think it is really cool how he was able to excel in both the racing and freestyle aspects of motocross.  I like a lot of different kinds of music and I would have to say that my favorite song is probably Remember the Name by Fort Minor featuring Styles of Beyond.

I'm currently riding a 2009 yz250 2 stroke.

I work very hard to try and stay competitive by sticking to a training routine that I made using a few things I have learned from other people and some of my own stuff.  I usually work out Monday through Thursday, with a light workout on Friday if I am racing that weekend.  If I'm not racing that weekend, I will probably go riding on at least one day and workout on both days. Otherwise, I go riding whenever I get the chance to.  A normal workout for me usually includes either jogging 3 miles or biking about 10 to 15 miles or 30 minutes on a stationary bike.  After I finish that I will do a push-up/sit-up routine.  That usually consists of 5 to 7 different variations of sit-ups, regular push-ups, dips, and I also include wall sits in this.  I currently go through this routine two times and this amounts to about 250 to 350 total sit-ups.  Because I'm in school at the time I am trying to work out a schedule where I can get to the gym twice a week.  I do get a chance to work out in my schools weight room two or three times a week for about 35 minutes, but that doesn't quite give me enough time to get a good workout in.

Riding Goals

Over the winter I will not be doing much riding, as we do not have any indoor  facilities that are nearby.  I will probably be heading up to the Sandbox a couple of times and during the first three months of 2011, we will head down south for a riding trip.  I will probably be going down to Millsap's Training Facility again in 2011.  Otherwise, over the winter I will work on getting in better shape and staying healthy.  Then before long, we'll be back in to the outdoor season again, where I will be trying to make it to at least 5 pro-ams and finish inside or near the top 5.  I will also be chasing points in the Super Series at Spring Creek MX.
