Personal History

I have a wonderful wife named Beth. We have been married almost 8 years now. Together we have a 2 year old daughter named Elle and 3 dogs named Finn, Theo and Luna. Beth and I met at church shortly after I got off the road playing drums for various worship artists. Today, I sell and invest in real estate. It has been a grind and very fulfilling. It has allowed me to build a life where I can spend quality time with my family and also ride most weekends and some during the week. I love to ride as much as I possibly can, I am probably into college football a little too much (Boomer Sooner) and once football season is over, I cannot wait for SX to start. I have a great group of vet guys that thoroughly enjoy riding and we ride 4-5+ each month.

Riding Goals

Riding is something that I have always had an interest in. I grew up in the Crusty Demons days and fell in love with racing during the McGrath era followed by RC, Stew and Chad. I had very loving and over protective parents that made sure racing was never a thing for me. I rode off and on while growing up until ultimately giving it up so I could travel to play music. When I got off the road in 2015 and stopped playing drums in 2016, I had a massive void to fill. In 2020, I got back on the bike and since then I have put close to 100 hours on 4 different bikes. Riding is what energizes me. It's what I do when I need "me" time. It's my release after great weeks and tough weeks. I am a goal chaser and riding consistently feeds that desire to do something extremely challenging that I can get better at each time I am on the bike. My goals for 2024 are not to improve lap times or beat anyone. It's to ride more than I did in 2023. I want to be safe, have great technique and the ability to flow on any track. The biggest area I want to improve are in the corners. Feet on pegs and standing. I also want to improve scrubs and whips.

Competitive Highlights

While I don't have any racing highlights, one of my biggest accomplishments was getting back on the bike after having a level 5 spinal fusion. I broke my back and right collar bone after OJ'ing a smaller triple into the sand. I buried the front end and went over the bars. I have 2 rods fusing 5 vertebrae and a plate on my right collar bone. I was back on the bike 13 weeks post surgery riding mostly trails or sand tracks and then finally cleared to jump again 6 months post surgery. Riding again was never in question after the accident. The only question was how long will I be off the bike.
