Personal History

My name is Tyler Buckles and I live in Hudson, WI.  I started riding back when I was about 10 years old and competed in District 23 races for many years.  Over the years I won multiple district races and series.  In 2004 I won the Kellogg, MN overall survivor series in three classes - 125B, 250B and Schoolboy.  In 2005, I won the 250B mod class at the North Central Regionals which qualified me to run at the Loretta Lynn Championships.  I competed in the Loretta Lynn's but a crash resulted in a broke foot and ended my racing that year.  The next year, I moved to A/Pro and had many top 3 finishes but again sustained injuries that ended my racing season early.  The next year, I graduated from high school and had to put my racing on hold to start a career.  In 2010, I decided to start riding again, but my first Pro race at Milleville, MN resulted in a torn ACL which AGAIN put my riding on hold.  I was wondering if I would ever be able to ride again over the next couple years.  This past Spring, I went to California to visit a friend.  He has a bike and he took me to a track in Calif.... I couldn't resist, and went out and bought a new RMZ 450.  Since then, I've been working hard to get back into riding shape.  While it is harder now that I am working, I am committed to continue working towards my goal of competing in some District 23 races as well as some out-state races in 2016.  I am hoping to secure some sponsors to help me reach my goal.

Riding Goals

My goal for 2016 is to be a touch competitor in the Plus 25 and 450 A classes.

Competitive Highlights

As stated above, winning the North Central Regional in 450B Mod. class; qualifying for and competing in the Loretta Lynn's was a highlight for me.  A high light this year (2015) at my first MX race, (after being out of it for many years), I got both hole shots and led the races for several laps.  I plan to ride through the winder to increase my skills and stamina so I am a strong competitor in 2016.
