Personal History

I grew up riding recreationally on our family farm on the KS/OK border but took a break during my college years. It wasn't until about 5 years ago that I picked up an older KTM, got back into riding and hit a local race or two through 2014 and 2015. I purchased my current bike (2016 KTM 450 XC-W) in early 2016 and began traveling to the Stillwater 500 (formerly Cooperland owned by Guy Cooper) almost weekly and decided to race the Forward Motion Hare Scramble Championship (FMHSC) series. I have been married for 5 years to my beautiful wife, Brandi, and she is very supportive of my riding/racing habits (most of the time) and tags along to act as my pit crew (and cheerleader).

Riding Goals

My speed, endurance, and ability to attack the course has drastically improved throughout the past year and I bumped up one class in 2016. For the 2017 season, I am moving up the C Advanced class (B class in other series) and I am confident I will be a top 10 rider at the beginning of the season and progress into a top 5 rider by season's end. My goal is to finish the year in the top 5 in points and move up to B class for 2018. My fitness will be improved this year as I am dedicated to stay in shape with CrossFit, mountain biking, and of course, clean eating. Also this year, I plan to attend larger events in Oklahoma and Texas to gain more exposure and experience in National events.
