Personal History

Oilfield worker by day, braaper by late afternoon! A close friend got me addicted to the sport 5 years ago, and sense then I eat, sleep and live mx! I have been in the oilfield 10 years, 7 of which I was also raising to little braapers Brylee and Azlyn. They are just as addicting to riding as I am, and race with me! They love helping dad prepare his bike, be it wrenching or washing, they are there supporting me, keeping me motivated.

I am currently the president of our local race circuit HPMA (High Plains Motocross Association). It is one thing to race, but quite another to be in charge of all the racing and riders. It only makes me appreciate the sport more for much it is just one big family. Now it's not just numbers going around the track, but names, attached to mothers and fathers. Being the president comes with great responsibility, and I take that seriously. I try my best to promote our sport, and get the community involved. Most still do not know much about our sport, and I am trying to change that for the better.

I have also started up my own race team, Twist Grip Racing in the hopes of getting the youth of the community a positive direction, and introduce them to action sports. I would love to take a young rider all the way to the pros, and that is my goal! I bring Shannon Niday to Wyoming at least once a year to take these riders on my team, and others to new heights in their abilities.

Riding Goals

I have reached my goal of racing as a pro in my circuit! I will now strive to take the championship in both classes I race, 450A and Open Outlaw. Once achieved I will move onto another circuit with more competition, and work my way through the positions to podium.

The ultimate goal is to make sure the younger generation has the ability and know how to be able to compete in motocross. I will continue to grow my circuits organization, with more community support, and increased rider count. I will strive to grow my race team, and take a youngster all the way to AMA!

Competitive Highlights

Two months into ever getting on a dirtbike I starting competeing in HPMA as a 450C rider. My first race I took 2nd overall, and the 2nd race, which was the HPMA Championship double points race, I took 1st overall. Those two races placed me 9th overall in the 450C Class that year.

This gave me a huge drive towards competing. Sense then I have moved all the up to our pro class. I spent 2 years in the intermediate class, mainly because work kept me away from hitting a lot of the races.

3 years of racing and I made it to the pro class. Last year as a pro I finished 2nd in 450A and 3rd in Open Outlaw.

I strive for excellence and I will not quit until I have accomplished my goals. I have been called a perfectionist, but I believe that perfection can be achieved, however rare it might seem. I will not let anything stop me from achieving my ultimate goal in riding, racing in an AMA pro class, and breaking into freestyle.
