Personal History
I ride an 125 cc Husqvarna and I love to race. I've been riding for 4 years now, and racing for 3 years. I qualified for the South Central Loretta Lynn's regional qualifier during my beginner year. Since I have started racing I have had 23 top five finishes. I continue to compete in local and regional series while preparing for the 2019 Loretta Lynn's national race.
I was introduced to riding dirt bikes because my dad wanted to spend more time with me doing a sport that he loved and he knew that I would also love. He was right. He bought us both bikes and we started riding. My first bike was a 2014 Honda CRF 125F Small Wheel trail bike. After about a year of riding my bike my dad entered me in my first local race. My Honda was half the horsepower, had half the suspension travel, and weighed 60-80 pounds more than the race bikes that I would be racing against. This didn't bother me, because I was just out there to have fun. And have fun I did! I was able to finish 4th place in the race. At about this time, I was taking jumps and getting 5-6 feet off of the ground and it was starting to hurt my knees and legs.
My dad knew it was time to buy me my first 2 stroke MX race bike. I loved Husqvarna dirt bikes because it was the very first race bike that my dad had when he was a kid. We were able to find me a slightly used (maybe used one hour/barely broken in) 2016 Husqvarna TC85 that a kid had been hurt on and decided he was not going to ride any longer.
After about 2 weeks of getting use to the power and feel of my new bike I was ready to enter my first AMA sanctioned race, round 2 of the District 20, 2016 AMA Texas State Championship Series. After taking a 2nd place trophy in the 65/85 Beginner 9-11 Class, I was hooked. Since then in 2016 and 2017 I have raced nearly every month and sometimes 3 times a month.
2017 and 2018 were rough years for me from an injury perspective. I'm hoping to race in 2019 injury free and have a lot of fun. Currently, I am preparing for racing in the Monster Energy Supercross Futures race in Houston, Texas on 31 March 2019. Wish me luck!
I love the sport and am ready to start competing in the next level.
