Personal History
Hello,
I'm 9 year old Tucker Heywood from Tooele, Utah. I love motorcycles, skateboards and BMX as well as school. I am a good student and love to learn new things at school and on the track whenever I can.
I began riding motorcycles at the age of 3 1/2. At 8 years old, I convinced my parents that I was ready to start racing at the Deseret Peak Complex with my CRF 50. I started a little late in the spring of 2009 and had missed the first three races but finally got started and did well. I have improved every race with my riding ability and my confidence in the racing circuit as well as with the motorcycle. I have placed in the top of my bracket each and every time.
With my family supporting me, I have managed to improve every time I climb on my motorcycle. The track is changed regularly and I am able to perform time and time again even when conditions are not the best.
The summer race season ended on September 18, 2009. After the races had finished, Deseret Peak Complex held an awards ceremony for the top riders in each class for over all points for the season.
I was fortunate enough to place 1st in points and performance in the 50 Open class and 2nd in points overall in the 50 B class, only missing first by 3 points. I am excited to race and excited for the upcoming Utah Winter Cross series to begin in December 2009 in Heber, Utah.
When not on my motorcycle, I am at the skate park or the dirt track on my BMX bike. I love to fish with my parents and learned how to fly fish just this year while on vacation. Needless to say, I love being active and I love extreme sports.
March 2010 I began racing my 2007 Kawasaki KX65. So far this year I am number 1 in points in both the Tooele Arenacross series and the Utah Summercross Series in both 65 open and 65 9-11 brackets. On August 13-15, 2010 I will make my debut at the Western Indoor Motocross Nationals at the Energy Solutions Arena in Salt Lake City, Utah. I am hopeful that I will ride well and show my sponsors they have made the right choice in choosing me to represent thier companies. As of today, 10 August 2010, I received notice that I have been awarded sponsorship from FMF for the rest of the 2010 season and the 2011 season. I am excited and glad that all my hard work has started to pay off.
Riding Goals
I am trying very hard to get A's in school each term and trying to improve my riding skills every chance I get.
I would like to gain sponsorship so that I can possibly travel throughout the state of Utah and possibly the western part of the country to compete in different areas to better my skill level and my maturity as a rider. I will represent myself and my sponsors with honesty, integrity and maturity at all times.
I plan to race the entire Western Indoor Motocross Nationals winter series. I plan to work hard and improve each and every race.
