Personal History

My name is Tucker Smith, and I am 18 years old. I race dirt bikes, primarily hare scrambles in the Pro class, but I also have experience in other types of racing. I was the youngest person to win the Pro class Championship at 16 years of age in the the IERA District 22 series. (Iowa Enduro Riders Association). I also won the Pro class championship in the MORE series at the age of 15 in 2012. In 2013, I won the IERA District 22 Series Championship. In 2014 i raced the IERA series again and ended up second due to a shoulder injury. None the less i still had many race wins in the IERA series as well as the FMHSC series, MORE series, and MHSC series in 2014.

I devote most of my spare time to putting time on my bike by training and racing, but I also enjoy mountain biking, camping, and working with promoters to help prep and set up race events. I always promote good sportsmanship and integrity both on and off the track, which is very important to me as I strive to be a great role model for younger racers. I take great pride in this sport.

I started racing motocross when I was 4 years old, but then I switched to hare scrambles when I was 9 and I’ve been riding those ever since. Sometimes I mix in some arenacross, endurocross, and motocross races just for fun because I think doing so makes me faster in the woods. My strengths are the technical areas in the courses I race, I feel as if I am best in these areas but I love it all.

Riding Goals

In 2015, I am looking to promote quality products throughout the race season at several local and national events. I plan to race the entire FMHSC series; I also will be racing some events in the OMA National Series, the AMA Arenacross Series, the Monster Energy Endurocross Series, and the GNCC Series. In order to prepare for these plans, I will be traveling to Iowa, North Carolina, and Oklahoma this winter to race and train with more experienced riders on different types of terrain.
