Personal History

My name is Tristen Cheek. I am 13 years old and in the 8th Grade. At the age of three, my Mom bought me my first dirtbike. A 50 Yahama, and I have been riding every since. I have always wanted to race but never had a chance until in the past year. One of my best friends told me how he became involved in racing. I then started racing with him in outdoors. We raced in the Loretta Lynn. Outdoors is my passion, but I did compete in FMF Indoor Winter Sports for the first time this year. I raced in two catagories, Beginner 85 D Class and Super-Mini. I did very well and came in third in points for Beginner 85 D. Seventh in Super-Mini.

Riding Goals

My goals for this year is to do awesome in the Outdoors, Loretta Lynn series. I am very excited about it starting this weekend. I have had my first race of the Indoor season and have done pretty well. I came in fifth on a KX125. This is the first time I have every raced this size bike. I will be racing in the 250 D class as well as the School Boy class. Last year was my first year racing outdoors. I have numerous plaques to show for it. This year I plan to attend as many races as possible. Our family has 40 acres that I plan to continue to take advantage of so I can increase my skills.

Competitive Highlights

I love competing. Before racing I played Baseball, Football, Track, Wrestling and Basketball for our school system. Sports has always been a huge enjoyment for me. I enjoy pushing myself to do my very best. And try so hard to do better each time I do something. And of coarse winning feels wonderful. I have chosen to give up my other sports in order to race. Racing is at the top of my list. This is a sport that I know I have to be the best I can on my own. It's up to me to do my best and win. And win is exactly what I plan to do.
