Personal History
My name is Trenton Wilson I am 13 years old and I live in Ohio. I got my first dirt bike when I was 7 years old, it was a PW80. I got that bike on Christmas Morning and I was super excited. Nobody in my family had ever raced Motocross only trail riding. My brother and I rode the bikes around the backyard, then graduated to riding them through cornfields. One day we discovered humps in the backyard and began riding our bikes as fast as we could over the humps. Later that year my parents asked if we would like to go watch one of my mom's friends race at a Motocross track. They told us we could take our bikes too if we wanted to ride the track. This was my first time ever being at a Motocross track and from that day I discovered my passion and my love for the sport has grown.
To this day I have my room decorated in all Motocross from trophies, plaques, MX calendars, MX posters, to the coolest dirt bike sticker on the wall with my name under it. In school I find myself always talking to new kids trying to find new kids that either have dirt bikes or enjoy watching Motocross on TV. This has become challenging to find kids my age that share my passion. So I recently found myself writing a report in class about Motocross " How to build a Motocross track". I wrote about this because shortly after getting my first dirt bike my parents moved. At the new house I helped my father dig a pond in our backyard and he was nice enough to use the dirt from the pond to make my brother and I a Motocross track. After I broke my PW80 jumping the jumps my dad found me my first real MX bike a KX65! I was so excited to finally have a racing bike.
That next winter we found a Indoor Motocross track nearby and I began racing. That year I found myself fixing consistently in 5th place or lower. Over the last couple years I continued to practice and improve my skills and confidence. This past year I was consistently getting 2nds and 3rds at the same track. On a few races I almost won the race but was over taken on the last lap.
Last year on my birthday my parents got me tickets for my entire family to go watch my very first Monster Energy Supercross race at Indianapolis and we sat in the front row. Wow was that an experience for me. I got to see my favorite racers, Tomac, Musquin, and Forkner!
As you can see I am 100% committed to this sport and hope to continue to grow with the experience I gain from each race. For example I currently am involved also with my local 4H raising beef cattle that I will sell this summer and use that money to purchase my very own MX Enclosed Trailer. This is a goal I have for myself his summer.
