Personal History
I was born in Apple Valley, CA in 1994. In that same year my parents moved me to Las Vegas, NV. At the age of 5 I developed a penchant for motorcyces. However, my father thought it was best I rode ATVs. I got my first ATV a Polaris Scrambler 50cc and began tearing up the desert and learning to do jumps.
In 2004 we moved to Brookside, UT where I finally saw my dream begin to come true. At the age of 14 after ridding ATVs all the previous years, my father capitulated and bought me a Thumpstar pitbike. I rode the Thumpstar racing my buddies on the trails here on Pine Valley Mountain until my dad bought me my first real racing MX bike- a Honda CRF 150R in December of 2009!
I have been practicing MX racing in Mesquite, NV and on our local MX track in Central, UT. On June 11 I raced for the first time in the USRA "Outlaw MX Promotional" race, round 7 in Fillmore, UT. I placed number 4 overall!
I will continue to pursue MX racing professionally as I finish High School, serve a mission for the LDS Church, and complete a Bachelor's Degree in Zoology.
I want to be a world champion MX rider! I want to share my experiences and teach any youth who too, would like to race MX when I have achieved that goal!
My dad has inculcated in me, that your vocation should be your avocation! That is your career should be your hobby. My dad wanted at the age of 5 to be a pilot for the major airlines. He flew and retired from US Airways. Now it is my turn to fulfill my dream to be a world champion MX racer. I have the drive and focus to get there! Don't look back because I am airborne on your six! The CHECKERED FLAG belongs to me and my Honda No. 80!
Riding Goals
For 2011 I will race as many venues possible to improve my racing strategies. It is my goal this year to place in the top 5 in each moto raced. I have been practicing to improve my speed in turns were I seem to lose most of my track time. I will continue to practice weekly and race monthly to promote my sponsors and become a champion MX rider. SPEED is the goal this year! I will race two classes this year- 250cc beginner and intermediate, and super mini.
I still have much to learn and know that persistence and consistency is the path to success! My dad tells me success=action=belief! I believe in dreams that come true. My dream is to become a world champion MX rider! I will move closer to that goal in 2011 by improving my riding technique and racing strategy through physical exercise, good diet, and focused practice sessions on the track.
