Personal History
Hi, my name is Travis Hodnett, and I am 11 years old. I started riding a four wheeler when I was 3, and I got my first dirt bike when I turned 4. I love to ride and enjoy meeting and riding with new people at the track. I enjoy playing with friends, riding my bicycle, and jumping ramps on my dirt scooter when I'm not at the track training or racing. My dad is my mechanic and coach and I love spending time with him, but I especially love it when he rides with me.
Riding Goals
I am racing a few races from our district 41 series so that I can qualify for the Texas State Championship at Freestone MX. I hope to earn a top 5 finish at the state championship. I plan to either train or race every weekend. I also plan to race the Texas Winter Series and attend the Loretta Qualifiers for our region. I plan to qualify for Loretta Lynn's again and finish inside the top 10 there.
Competitive Highlights
I had never been to a national race until this year. I consistently run top 3 at local races, but really wanted to have an opportunity to run with the top 42 kids in the nation. I qualified for the 85cc (9-11) limited and the 85cc (9-11) classes at Loretta Lynn's for the first time. I had a blast and the track was the gnarliest I have ever ridden. I placed 32nd overall and 22nd overall. I can't wait to try again this year and hopefully get inside the top 10.
