Personal History
Trapper first starting riding at the tender age of 4 when he received a new yamaha zinger for his 4th birthday. It didn't take his parents long to see he had a love for being on a dirtbike as he had burned an oval track around the acreage of his parents house in Rocky Mt House, AB. Days spent burning laps only to stop for Dad to gas up his bike and then off again. When the family moved to Creston, BC Trapper would enter his first local race and from there the racing bug had struck. Trapper would race full time across Canada and the United States until the age of 16 coached and guided by his father Ken Goldsmith who was also a well known Motocrosser in the early 70's around Northern Alberta. Highlights in Trappers career were 1996 CMA Canadian Motocross Championships, Slave Lake, AB. 1997 Western Canada Nationals Agassiz, BC. 1997 CMA Canadian Motocross Championships, Regina, SK. At the age of 16 and almost 6 years of full time racing the family was forced to hang the boots up due to the financial costs of having 3 kids racing full time and traveling across the country. Trapper's racing career was what propelled hiim to go on and become a well recognized Professional Golfer on the APGA and CPGA circuits, he credits much of his success to the competitive skills his father instilled in him as a young racer.
Riding Goals
No longer racing competitive, Trapper can still be found braaping around the local track Wild Rose MX Park in Calgary, AB with his two twin boys who also ride now.
