Personal History

I started riding when I was 14, in 2012, on an RM85L. Soon after I moved up to an '08 RM250. It was a big jump, but I handled it fairly well. I've trained with Bud Moore and Shannon Niday. But most of my training has been hitting local tracks with my dad. Earlier this year I got a '14 RMZ250 for my 16th birthday. I was ready to race then. In April I started riding more competitively. I raced in 2 different series' from April until June.

I'm a junior in high school, starting this fall. My mom and dad both stay home and are very supportive of my riding and training. My mom pushes me to get outside of my comfort zone. My dad pushes alongside me on the track. I also have 2 sisters that cheer me on. They all go every weekend to watch and support my racing. They even got t-shirts made to wear to all the races!

Riding Goals

Right now my goal is basically to get faster. I'm fairly comfortable on the bike and I'm told I'm a smooth and consistent rider. I have trouble passing at times too. I just need to get my speed up and I'll be very tough to beat in the beginner class. I have until April 2015, then I bump up a class!

Competitive Highlights

My highlights aren't so much winning races as much as improving every time I hit the track. I made some mistakes that cost me a win at 2 different races. But I learned from them. Although, I did walk away with 2-1st place Series finishes my first time racing! I could've had a larger points stretch if I hadn't made those mistakes.

I'm really excited to start this next series in late August! I feel like I'm much more consistent and faster now than I have been, we will see many more 1st place finishes with this series!
