Personal History
I started racing when I was just 5 years old and it's been a love story ever since. My father, who was a former professional dirt tracker, introduced my brothers and I at a young age to what I consider the greatest and most physically demanding sport out there and I couldn't be more thankful. After many years of just racing locally and improving my skills as a motocross racer my parents took me to my first amateur national in 1997 to The Mini O's. After a week long of learning what it was going to take to be successful in this sport, we went home and got to work. In 2000 we headed back to the Mini O's and pulled off my first national win on the supercross track in the womens 12-15 racing against women like Tara Geiger, Leah Cantrell and Ashley Wheat. I pulled off a 2nd overall for the week. In 1999 I attempted to qualify for Loretta Lynns for my first time and swept up both wins at the Area and Regional qualifiers. I raced Loretta's every year for the next 6 years with top Ten finishes in 2000 and 2003 and a podium finish in 2001. In 2002 I was eligible for a WMA Pro license and would go on to race my first pro national at Millville, MN and would finish 8th overall and race the WMA Womens Pro Cup in San Antonio, TX in 2003 racing the fastest women in the World and would again finish 8th overall. After many ups and downs in my career I ended up retiring to start a family with my husband in 2008 and go to college for nursing. After 7 years off the bike, 2 kids, and a nursing career I am ready to start again and teaching my kids what it is like growing up in the greatest sport in the world!
Riding Goals
My goals for 2017 is to continue training and working on my strength and conditioning in order to qualify again for Loretta Lynns after 9 years.
