Personal History
My name is Tony Alonso. I currently reside in the city of Aurora, Co. I began riding when I was 13 years old on a Honda CRF150, first bike, trail style. I quickly out grew the bike, evident by bottoming out (sometimes crashing, unfortunately) on jumps not made for the bike. I then stepped up to a Honda CRF250R in 2004, where I quickly adapted and began racing. I went straight to the novice class, skipping begginer, and entered races as often as I could. I'll admit, I did not have all the experience as my competiton, growing up on 60's and 80's, then stepping into the bike bike classes. I learned fast, started challenging myself, and tried my hardest to compete. I marked out of novice within 2 season, and began racing in the B class in 2007. I regret the fact that I never really took time to film myself during races, besides a few occasions. I never really had the support in the area of money, always making it by with the help of my father. I raced the local loretta lyn's qualifier at Thunder Valley in Lakewood, Co. Again, funds were always limited, so i was never able to travel to big regional races that allowed me to improve with better competition at hand. I bought a 2008 RMZ 250, and raced in the b class. Reitterating the fact that I had not had the experience of most my competition, I took on too much speed with not enough skill. I was fast, competing with guys who raced since they were 5 years old. I was always hanging it out with the amount of seat time I had, and that was my flaw. Not paying attention to technique and just simply trying to go fast. Well, It frustrated me that I was finding my face in the round more often than I'd like, so i sold my bike and took a break. unfortunately that break was for 4 years. Today, I am riding a 2011 KX250F, that I had purchased in January off the showroom floor. Never been a fan of buying pre owned mx bikes, due to my knowledge of how beat up they could be. I took on a business opportunity to own a credit card processing company, moved to Dallas, Tx, and began building clientell. To be completely honest, I've always been a fast learner, and this was my first business adventure. Moved to Dallas on 100% commision, and found myslef helping my employees paying rent due to the fact that it is a very competetive industry, but also a very shady industry that was hard to build business unless you were constantly grinding 7 days per week. Here is where the lack of experience came into play for me again, but in the business aspect. It taught me a lot about myself. I discontinued my efforts in the industry to move back home to Aurora, Co and continue my true passion. MOTOCROSS! I have completely dedicated my life to become the rider I want to be. I began working out 5 days a week with the mentality of turning pro in mind. It has completely turned my life around. I signed up on RYNOPOWERGYM.COM, followed Ryno's instructions, bought a bike, and started over from scratch. I now go to the track, focus on technique as much as I can, and boy, all I can say is WOW! I am pro quality indefinitely. I ride 2 times per week, time allowing due to working a full time job. I put practice motos in before I head off to work. I don't spend any money it seems unless it's for parts, gas for the commute, or track riding fees. When I ride, I find myself hanging with the guys I used to race with in the B class who have now turned pro. I did a lot of work on my mind, creating the feeling of being pro, and hit the gym and the track with the best attitude to allow me to quickly progress my technique, because as we all know, speed comes after technique. I am looking for companies that like to put trust and belief into a rider that has every bit of skill and passion to become a successful racer, that will represent the company and realize that it is them that allow me to progress more than I can by myself. I will turn pro this season once I get some races under my belt again, guarenteed. I live, breath, sleep, eat, dream motocross, for it is my life.
