Personal History
My name is Tommy Petze. I am 10 years old from Sharon, Massachusetts. I was 3 years old when my parents got me a battery operated Ducati ride on for Christmas. I loved riding that bike as much as I could. It taught me balance at a young age. When I was 5, my older brother got a TTR90 when he was 13 years old. I loved it and he didn't. My dad encouraged me to get on it and give it a try even though it seemed huuuuge. He boosted me up and sent me on my way through a big grassy field. From that first ride on a real bike,I was hooked.. I couldn't touch the ground but I learned how to get off and on with my dads help. When I was 7, I entered my first race for NETRA in the PeeWee 3 class. I fell a couple of times and I was nervous. The following year, after more practice, I entered another race for NETRA and got 3rd Place!!! I was so happy,I knew riding and racing was my new passion. The next year I was the NETRA PEEWEE 3 Class Champion. For Christmas in 2017, I got my first MX raciing bike, a KX 65 and my dad and I started thinking about motocross versus enduro racing. I was excited but also nervous. My dad would take me to Wareham MX to practice on my new bike on a track I was not used to with many other fast riders. i loved the speed and the jumps. The following riding season, we joined NCSC MX and began competitive racing. I have made many friends that all share the same passion for the sport, and we immediately connect. We ride and encourage each other week after week.
Riding Goals
My riding goals are simple. I want to get better each time I race. I want to ride smart and safe. I want to have fun and support my friends who also race and be supported by my friends and family also. Ever since I was younger riding my TTR90 I always dreamed of making it to Loretta Lynn to race with the best. That would be so cool. Getting a sponsorship is also a goal of mine. I feel I am very worthy of a sponsorship.
