Personal History

I haven't rode a dirt bike since high school. In which I joined the Marine Corps immediately afterwards, serving 3 combat tours and a total of 9 years. Once out of the Marines I faced the normal issues that are common among combat veterans along with recovering from a broken tib and fib. I started seeking a way to challenge myself mentally and physically in order to overcome those struggles. Something that forced me to stay sharp and vigilant, set goals, and conquer them. Motocross has become just that, my therapeutic release in which my daily training revolves around. After attempting my first race I realized the importance of proper training mentally, physically, and bike skills. I have since created a training plan to increase aerobic and muscular endurance as well as schedule the required but strategic seat time that is necessary to become an all around better skilled rider.

My wife is a certified trainer and has helped me with my programming to ensure my program covers all areas. Including heart zone training which is taken into consideration through out the weeks training and recovery. I train cardio through cycling 2 days a week, strength and strength endurance 3 days a week, and do 1 day of practice on the turn track and 1 day at the local track. I have also got a local trainer who has multiple amateur championships and raced 450 pro preparing me for my 1st full racing season competing against others in my class 30+.

"You may have more experience than me, you may have more money than me, but you will not out work me. Discipline and consistency is what makes champions!"
