Personal History

My name is Toby Brooks. I am currently 31 year-old and run and operate an electronics recycling company called Neo Recycling in Santa Ana CA for the past 4 years. In the past I have been a professional race car engine tech at S. Jennings Racing in Santa Ana. My main duties are tearing down and reassembling high caliber race engines in which I worked for this company for 7 years before they moved out of state. I was also, a professional off-road truck mechanic and driver/ co-driver. My duties were to tear down and rebuild the truck after each race or test and prep the truck for the next race or test.

Riding Goals

Next year, I plan on advancing to the amateur/intermediate Vet classes. My practice schedule consists of daily 20 miles bike rides and a two to three mile runs with additional weight training, weekly motocross practice at local tracks, and weekend racing. I plan on racing the Amateur/Intermediate Class in SRA GP, Gary Jones Off-Road Series, REM, 2-Stroke Championship at Glen Helen, World Vet Championship and select WORCS races, AMA District 37 and 38, Glen Helen 6 hour and other local races at local tracks.

Competitive Highlights

My past accomplishments include a second place finish in the 2013 6 hour race at Glen Helen in the Vet class. Third place finish in the 125 Novice Class in the World Offroad Championship Series in Phoenix, Arizona. I have won numerous local novice motocross events at Glen Helen Motocross Park, The Ranch, Pala Raceway and Cahuilla Creek Mx. I also have several top five finishes in the SRA Grand Prix
series.
In 2005 I had a pretty bad crash that left me with a broken pelvis, torn meniscus, ACL damage and shoulder damage that almost ended my racing career. It was not until 2010 that I have gotten back into racing because more of my friends started riding and racing. They wanted help with improving their riding skills with my help and experiences.
