Personal History
I am an intermediate Vet Desert and Motocross competitor currently living in Battle Ground, Washington. I have been riding motorcycles since I was 8 years old. In 1997 I entered my first desert race. The excitement and exhilaration of the competition was overwhelming, and I was hooked. This first race marked a turning point in my life focus, and riding would never be the same again.
My perfessional career as an Advertising Creative Director has given me marketing and communication skills that come second nature. Therefore, not only am I dedicated to producing competitive racing results, I am also committed to producing the maximum creative exposure for my sponsors.
Riding Goals
After taking the 2007 season off from racing, I hit 2008 with a mild race schedule while dedicating my energy toward re-aligning my skills and endurance. Among the local weekly Motocross events, I raced a few WORCS rounds in the Washington, as well as two Whiplash Motorsports events in Arizona.
In May I suffered an arm injury during the TPQ Round 1 Race that forced me to take some time away from the bike and training. I have been training hard and working on strength and endurance to overcome this setback. By the start of 2009 race schedule I will be back to 100%.
As always, my goals are to stay healthy, train and ride, & compete to the best of my ability! 2009 will be no different.
Competitive Highlights
In 2008 my race schedule was sparce. However, I did have two highlights that I can add to my book this year.
My first WORCS race (Round 4) was very exciting and, although my results were obvious for a newcomer that day, the feeling I got of competing at that level was addictive. This race marked the beginning of my WORCS racing career.
The second highlight this year was qualifying 1st at Firebird in the Whiplash Desert Series. This event is one of WOR's higher profile events - held in a closed course with spectator access to the pits and the entire course. Flat-tracking the first turn out of the hole-shot was the best feeling!
