Personal History

I started riding at the age of seven. I grew up riding with my dad, mostly trails. We had access to hundreds of acres of trails at our home and further south in the state. My inner drive for competition lead me to start competing in local hare scrambles and MX events once my skills progressed. I first started competing in HS races on a YZ 80 in the 200 C class. By the end of the year I was winning events even against the KDX 200s. I finally upgraded to a 125, and continue competing in the 200 C until I was ranked out into 200 B. I continued running select MX races but focusing on woods riding.

Eventually I had competed enough to make it into the 200 A class at age 15, I continued here as well as competing in the Mid-South HS series (regional) and few select GNCC events. I continued racing and simply having fun, winning some until I started college. At which point I slowed down to focus on my education and career.

I ended up taking off longer than I wanted due to life in general. I then returned in 2010 to start competing in a local Virginia series. I started back in the 200 B class as I had slowed over the 8 years of not riding. I've competed for the last two years placing second in the local series, and eventually moving to the Vet B class as I entered the age of 30. Today I continue to strive to get back to the 'A' class where I hope to wrap up another championship.
