Personal History
In 2016 My life had turned around after gaining full custody of my now 9yr son. He quickly learned to love any sport that included a motor from four wheelers to snowmobiles. my step father bought my kid a pit bike this year and he was to afraid to ride it so I got on it and put him on the front and went around the field to show him what it felt like and how the bike balanced when in motion. After getting tired of watching him ride and not riding I wanted to try it also so in June of 2020 I went out and bought a brand new KX250F and we started riding together in the field. friends of ours said we should go race and Dakota could too so off we went.
I was having a hard time out on the track for sure I wasn't placing good I was trying to work on my cornering, I was using muscles I never knew I had! I would only run 1 class in which i was completely exhausted after that. I then started to run 2 classes I was feeling a little better, still exhausted and still learning.
It was soon to come my 4th race of the yr I came in 1st in one class and 3rd in the other, ever since then I have been getting better and faster then the last race. My starts are huge This past weekend 10/25 I got 3 hole shots out of 4 so that was awesome as well!
Only time will tell where this takes me but the best thing about racing motocross is the quality family time you get and the network of motocross familes out there. I have never seen so many people out there willing to help out if you dont have a part and need one or clothing or just anything!
Riding Goals
We have become more involved in motocross because of how close it brings our family and familes together. It is truly a family oriented sport. The experiences gained in the pursuit of the dream are priceless. Strong bonds are created on the road between a family of motocross devotees as they each live through the highs and lows of race days.
The relationships created through the sport carry on into the future and it can be argued that no family is as tightly intertwined as one which has grown with motocross.
Competitive Highlights
After 4 races ever in my l started getting top finishes, better starts if not hole shots by an entire bike length if not more.
