Personal History
My name is Taylor McDonald, I am 17 years old 5’4” and weigh 125lbs. My race bike for the 2012 racing season will be a choice between a 2001 KX250 or a 2000 KX125. I have a great family, they are all involved with the racing lifestyle. I have been riding since I was very little, and started racing in 2009. I am a women novice, but I am ready to step things up a notch! This next season I plan on racing as many desert races as possible including the So. Cal. AMA Motocross series and as many NHHA races as finances will allow. It has been a long road for me in many factors. In 2010 a life threatening illness prevented me from racing and riding, but I have overcome it. I continue to surprise both myself and my peers. I have been relatively successful but the best thing I have to offer is great determination and good sportsmanship! I grew up with this lifestyle and therefore have a great respect for it and all those who accompany it.
Riding Goals
Next year I plan to race as many races as finances will allow. I would like to race the majority of the NHHA races, and will be doing to AMA SoCal Motocross series. I can't wait!
Competitive Highlights
My best highlights have been during the last year. During the motocross series, one of the rounds took place at Racetown 395. It rained heavily in the morning, I had never ridden in such conditions on track. It turned out to be a blast!! The extra challenge fueled me to try harder, and beat the obstacle not only to win, but to prove to myself that I could.
