Personal History

To start my name is Taylor Matthews. I am currently a sophomore and an honor roll student at Canon City Highschool. I am sixteen years old and am a very fun outgoin person. I am also a christian and try my hardest to fit church time into my riding schedule. My most important aspect of life right now next to school and family is racing motocross. I love to go out and practice and ride a couple motos every chance i get to try and keep in shape.

Riding Goals

This coming season i have tons of goals that i am going to do everything in my power to reach. First off, i had a rough season this year with the broken tail bone and broken collar bone, so my main goal is to keep it on two wheels as much as possible and keep in my range of riding. Also, i would like to make my parents proud and do my best and be in awesome shape to be able to ride consistent. Next, i am definately hoping to try and mark out of the novice class and get closer to being a pro by competing in the 125/open amateur class. I think my biggest goal is to race the millville amateur day this 08" season wich will be very fun and an amazing experience i think. Last, i want to try and have more fun with this year but be serious when needed.

Competitive Highlights

There are a couple of competitive hightlights i can think of from my history involved in motocross. My first highlight was a couple years ago when i received a second place trophy in the 85cc 12-15 class. I rode a consistent and smart race and had tons of fun. I also received a 5th place out of a 30 gate moto. My next highlight, was winning the 125cc novice heat race in the Denver supercross event. From the past season i have gotten a third place in the 125 novice class in the wednesday night racing series held at aztec family raceway.  Lastly, i had a couple very memorable holeshots this past season in the open and 125cc class.
