Personal History
My name is Taylor Hill, I am 22 years old and I live in the small town of Pillager, Minnesota. Growing up my brother and I were introduced to motocross at a young age from our dad. He always had bikes around in the garage and when we were both old enough to ride we both jumped at the opportunity. With my brother being five years older than I am I was able to watch him start to ride and race which made me want to do it even more myself. Having him there to race with me made it even more fun for the both of us, and it definitely made it more of a family sport with my parents being supportive and never missing a race. Motocross must run in our family; my nephew has also gotten into racing with us, and my niece already just loves to be on the bike with her dad. When I'm not working I make time to practice and work on things to improve my riding. When I'm not riding I like to spend time with my friends and family.
Riding Goals
I am currently riding in the Friday Night Series in Little Falls, Minnesota. I race two classes: the age group 15-29, and Open B. I currently ride a 2014 Suzuki 450f. Next season I would like to ride in more District 23 races to further push myself and expand my skills as a rider. I plan to continue riding the bike I have now in the races next year. I ride because it is something that I have enjoyed doing my entire life, and it has been a sport that has brought my family together. It is a great thing to be able to watch my nephew grow fond of the sport that his dad and I both enjoyed growing up as well.
Competitive Highlights
My personal accomplishment would be seeing how my skills have grown as a rider over the years. I have been able to see changes in the way that I ride and I'm always open to learning for other riders, their experiences, and any advice they may have. I am also currently leading in points in both the age group class, 15-29, and the Open B class that I have been racing in the Friday Night Series. I am looking forward to seeing what next year brings.
